Who did?
Peter Mitchell. Couldnât sign off. Could not remember what day it was. Seemed a bit lost sifting through his papers. I just assume they had the wrong autocue up.
We all have moments I guess
Melbourne reporter, Sharnelle Vella looks to be commencing her new role as State Political Reporter this week with her updating her Twitter bio.
What time did Seven News start in Perth? Checked the 7Plus live stream at 7:02pm Perth time and it was presented by Tim McMillan and was a Gold Coast shark attack story and then a US report⌠Didnât seem like the start of the bulletin? So maybe for maximum audience they went straight to news as soon as the AFL finished which was before 7pm Perth time?
â
Side note: there was a Seven News update with Angela Tsun around 8:50pm in Melbourne. Strange?
Seems odd. Does Peter Mitchell usually do this update? Hopefully heâs alright and his little fumble at the end of the news tonight wasnât anything health related making him go home early.
Perth news started at 7 due to the Western Derby being broadcast live on 7.
At 5:59pm when the footy finished and went straight to Peter Mitchell at the news desk, he also looked a little off (whether it be his health or something was on his mind) as he was glaring up at the roof, either watching a monitor or carefully listening to someone in his ear piece.
I noticed that too.
Hopefully it was just a technical glitch rather than his health.
Exactly. And as for Angela doing a Melbourne update, thereâs multiple reasons why that mightâve occurred.
Turns out it actually started at 6:50pm Perth time, as soon as the AFL finished. So a 40min bulletin.
Tuesday 21 July to Thursday 23 July-
Edwina Bartholomew is presenting Early News.
Tuesday 21 July-
Mel McLaughlin is presenting sport on Morning News.
Seven News Melbourne sports reporter Tom Browne is now in Queensland reporting on Victorian AFL teams training and playing matches in the state. I think he flew in from Sydney at the weekend.
Imo the best 7 news female Anchor
Susannah Carr is celebrating her 68th birthday
No sign of Susannah retiring any time soon
Wednesday 22nd July:
Jacqueline Felgate is presenting sport on the Morning News.
Jacqueline Felgate tweeted this afternoon that she and her colleagues wouldnât be wearing masks when presenting reports from tomorrow (July 23), when wearing a face covering in public becomes compulsory in metropolitan Melbourne.
What a stupid question. In a confined space with social distancing, why would they wear masks?
Thursday 23 July-
Andrew McCormack is presenting sport on Morning News today.
EDIT- Andrew is also presenting sport on Afternoon News in Melbourne today.
This must be his first time?
I canât recall him ever presenting on Morning News before today.
Friday 24th July:
David Brown presented weather on the Morning News today and also will present weather on Sydneyâs 4pm & 6pm bulletins.
Maybe heâs working Sunday to Friday at the moment, not that Iâm complaining, heâs great at what he does.
Anyone here who watches Sydneyâs 6pm news, is Matt Shirvington doing any reporting on weekdays?
Or is he only doing sports presenting on Friday & Saturday and thatâs it?
I donât think he has presented sport on the Morning News & Sydney Afternoon News from Monday to Thursday, only on Fridays since heâs doing Sydney sport that evening.
He appeared on the Sunrise Newsfeed on Wednesday morning so I wasnât sure if he perhaps filed a sports report that day whilst he was at the studio?
