They do. It’s the localised bulletins. e.g. If I’m in Melbourne and go onto 7plus, 7NEWS Melbourne will come up.

Okay. Did you see Janes little near vomiting episode on 7 Plus?
Yep! It was gold!
I agree. It must have been so scary for her not knowing if she was about to chunder her lunch all over herself on live prime time TV.
Maybe she saw the ratings?
It was very misleading. Seven Melbourne said she would do a tour of Victoria. Three towns in the north east, then a long advertisement on the fourth night for Mount Buller (Seven has a sponsorship arrangement with them) A joke!
Sunday: Sally Bowrey is presenting Sydney’s weather
Monday 8 June-
Angela Cox is presenting Morning News.
8/6/2020 Angela Cox is presenting the Morning News (and most likely the Sydney afternoon news).
Mike Smithson presented Adelaide Afternoon News today.
Jacqui Felgate is presenting sport in Melbourne filling in for Tim Watson this week.
Seven News Perth sports reporter Ryan Daniels has flown to the Gold Coast to report on West Coast and Fremantle’s preparation for the resumption of the 2020 season. The two AFL clubs will be based on the Gold Coast for at least the next four weeks, playing matches in the city and Brisbane, with WA still keeping its state borders shut.
He did a live cross to the Melbourne bulletin this evening, and I assume he will file reports for the Brisbane and Gold Coast bulletins as well.
Does the media have exemptions wrt the border closures?
Workers can cross the border with a permit.
Ahh makes sense.
Tuesday 9 June-
Ann Sanders is back presenting Morning News and Afternoon News in Sydney.
That’s not the first time Shane has struggled with technical difficulties. It is also a reason why you don’t get former sports players to do any form of news presenting. Sigh.
To be fair, Shane has held the sports presenting role on Seven News Brisbane since 2007, a year in which they overtook Nine News in the ratings for the first time in two decades (though that could also be put down to the arrivals of John Schluter and Sharyn Ghidella, both from Nine).
Also that year, Michael Voss was appointed sports presenter on Ten News Brisbane, though his stint lasted only two years as he then went onto coach the Brisbane Lions - the same team he captained prior to his retirement.
Other ex-sports athletes to excel in television news include Wally Lewis, Ian Healy, Tim Watson, Matt Burke, Matthew Pavlich, the late Chris Mainwaring and Warren Tredrea to name a few.
That doesn’t change whether he is a good presenter or not. You could actually look at it as, after 13 years, he is still seemingly uncomfortable in front of an autocue (or the lack thereof). The only reason 7 got him was because 9 had Wally Lewis.
Many of the people you listed are okay, but there are a number other sports journalists (usually these sports star’s fill-ins) who are much more capable at presenting but are simply not given the role for their lack of notoriety. In this case, Pat Welsh is a better presenter and far more experienced than Webcke.
100% correct. Exactly what I’ve been saying since Wally first joined TVQ0 in 1988. Commentary is good - sports reading, terrible.
