Dallimore is Deputy News Director at ATN now, so probably not likely.
She already had a long stint in the US (2009-2017?) roughly same time as Angela Cox, so doubt either of those two would want to return, even if offered.
Dallimore has also already been Bureau Chief, whilst at Ten.
Edit: Just realised this isn’t new information.
Carry on.
Monday -
Blake Johnson presenting Afternoon News in Melbourne.
Tamra Bow is presenting weather on the Gold Coast
and Liz Cantor has given birth to a baby boy. Rod congratulated her at the end of the bulletin.
Also, Jane Doyle is back presenting with John Riddell in Adelaide
Although Mike is a great pick, i think a female presenter would have been a better option. The bulletins are dominated by males. The only female presence is weather.
Susannah Carr is presenting Seven Afternoon News Perth (29/8/2018).
Have their been any promos for Mike Amor’s return?!
Sydney -
Angie Asimus presenting weather this week with David Brown on holidays.
Mel McLaughlin returned from holidays this week.
Friday -
Chris Reason is presenting Morning News & Sydney Afternoon News.
Probably isn’t any. Well not any of experience that could go up against Alicia and Hitch. Well there was one , but they can only blame themselves for losing that one.
Never say never. Bec could still be a Mitch replacement. She would be a weapon for Seven against the expected Tony Jones instalment once Hitch moves on who is not suited to news.
I’d expect 9 Melbourne to die off should Alicia not land the weekday gig. What a chance to pickup these viewers. Bec or Alicia for Mitch.
Although Mike is a great pick, I think a female presenter would have been a better option.
I also personally would’ve preferred to see Seven News Melbourne appoint a female presenter to lead their Friday/Saturday bulletins, but at least Mike Amor could be a decent successor to Peter Mitchell when the time comes.
This move also puts Seven News Melbourne in line with Seven News Sydney, which has also been predominantly presented by male newsreaders since Melissa Doyle (who was supposed to be Chris Bath’s successor on Friday/Saturday nights) moved on to focus solely on Sunday Night from August 2016.
Bec could still be a Mitch replacement. She would be a weapon for Seven against the expected Tony Jones instalment once Hitch moves on who is not suited to news.
It’s true one can never say never, but one would imagine that Rebecca Maddern will likely stay with Nine for the long run after being announced as a presenter for their tennis coverage.
I’ve spotted reporter Emily Baker when she was reporting for Sunrise Perth News of the Carousel redevelopment opening on 30/8/2018.
