Pretty sure viewers across VIC would prefer a journalist like Mike Amor, whoâs been with the network for decades and is a Bendigo boy.
Rather than someone junior and unknown.
I watched tonight and didnât notice a single slip, only thing was his red eyes (though didnât look as bad as some here has said).

Not harsh. Itâs how it comes across. Long-time viewers know how itâs pronounced. The anchor should, too.
Just went back to the video and had a look.
Mike said âBrendan DonoHOEâ (instead of âŚâhueâ).
Hardly a hang-able offence, given many viewers who arenât regular viewers or journalists/presenters who donât know him well, especially under live TV conditions, could easily make the same mistake.
I once upon a time thought the same of his surname.
I thought you meant he completey got his name nowhere close
I do remember him doing some national Morning News, that video looks to be from 2007 / 2006 so I would say that was around the time when I saw him presenting.

The anchor should have seeked a pronunciation guide or been supplied one. Same as someone from out of state mispronouncing a street name or suburb.
