I’ve noticed that they have adjusted the timing of the loop behind them showing dusk… (just) now. Still doesn’t match up with real time… (take note whoever is reading this)
However it’s still too dark compared to the LIVE shot on 9NEWS.

I get 7news may want to avoid some of the buildings with their flashing lights in the background, simple solution is to pan the camera left and show more of Flinders St Station / Yarra river? It looks stupid seeing the same tram and car go past ever few minutes.

I get what you’re saying. But Nine’s backdrop is bad too, for all its own reasons. Nine looks awfully dull, grey and less vibrant than Seven there. Even Tom…

Don’t believe so, it’s not the first time it happened but its not frequent enough to implement it I would imagine

It’s crazy that they don’t take precautions when interviewing people who would clearly be excited and/or emotional.

It looked like there was a pre arranged person she was going to interview who was just behind her but someone else came from the side and jumped in.

News is also exempt from the coarse language codes I believe.
Yep - all news and current affairs programs are considered exempt from classification, though I do believe there is an expectation to take care in certain circumstances/timeslots.
In this case though, there is no problem with someone swearing while being interviewed in a live cross.
Is the Game on the main channel in Sydney and Brisbane?

Seven might be a bit disappointed the ending to today’s AFL Prelim blew-out with quite a few Melburnians no doubt turning off, already challenging with an 8pm time.
But on the flip side, possibly good for Brisbane viewers and of course a Queensland team making the AFL GF.
