I get 7news may want to avoid some of the buildings with their flashing lights in the background, simple solution is to pan the camera left and show more of Flinders St Station / Yarra river? It looks stupid seeing the same tram and car go past ever few minutes.

Yep - all news and current affairs programs are considered exempt from classification, though I do believe there is an expectation to take care in certain circumstances/timeslots.
In this case though, there is no problem with someone swearing while being interviewed in a live cross.

Seven might be a bit disappointed the ending to today’s AFL Prelim blew-out with quite a few Melburnians no doubt turning off, already challenging with an 8pm time.
But on the flip side, possibly good for Brisbane viewers and of course a Queensland team making the AFL GF.
