Will he present this special from Morwell or Sydney?
Probably Sydney
That Seven News theme that debuted in 2016 is almost a decade old. I wonder if theyâll be making moves to change it soon or if theyâll leave it be? It would be nice and more authentic if they returned to John Williamsâ composition of âThe Missionâ.
Blake Johnson was at point cook last night for live cross https://youtu.be/lWG77B2iUMg
The current version of the mission they use sounds like elevator music. Itâs gross. No offense to the composer of this rendition but it screams cheap nasty and âfar out we need a new version of the theme we scrapedâ
I prefer the theme they used in the mid 90s they should bring that back.
the 2000 red remix was the best version IMO, current one is a bit drawn out.
Was probably a rushed job to have a refreshed the theme after they tried to dump it in 2014 only to bring back the 2004 mix 4 days later.
Would work very well with the current graphics package IMO
Couldnât get a cap but starting shot of the set in Sydney looked great with the vertical screen in use.
That screen is so damn wasted and under-utilised
Yeah, why donât they stand at the screen from time to time, like the ABC and BBC do? Or use it to display graphics on? As it stands, itâs just there and itâs a shame.
It used to be used for the updates near 6pm but that was with a solo presenter.
7News Melbourne and Gold 104 have started a viewer competition. Saw this on Facebook Story this evening.
Interesting to see Seven switching AFL to the main channel in Perth and consequently running short (20 mins and 10 mins) news bulletins to fit the games. Seems like it could be in response to Nine News making ground in that market.
Adelaide used to do this on weekends occasionally (maybe still do). Just a quick half time bulletin that goes for 20 minutes, and thatâs it.
They havenât done it since mid 2021 when Nine was winning quite a few weekends
Been running a few weeks now.
Not sure if this is airing nationally, but Seven interrupted regular programming in Melbourne to cover breaking news that the jury has reached a verdict in the Erin Patterson case.
Mike Amor is presenting in studio with Chris Reason outside the court in Morwell.
