Exactly what I said earlier.
Least we have a full theme music now
Samantha Heathwood presenting at midday in Queensland. Max on location.
Max and Katrina from 4pm.
Sam and Max doing a great job.
They chatted for quite a while about the cyclone.
Sam has had quite long chats with each reporter, now having a long chat with Alyssa re: sport.
Katrina took over just after 2.00pm.
random question as I wasnt at home, but did all states take the extended news bulletins or did the other states retain regular programs?
Was The Chase Australia on 7Two or 7Mate instead of main channel?
Here in Adelaide, we got Home and Away and other programming after the news until a national special at 8:30pm.
Michael Usher anchoring from Brisbane from midday Qld time/1.00pm AEDT.

5.00pm: Katrina Blowers and Michael Usher presenting cyclone coverage.
Standing by for another loooong closer.
Very lengthy news update aired at half time in the AFL, presented by Angela Cox from Byron Bay. Mainly focused on Cyclone Alfred of course but I reckon there were about ten stories! Angela mentioned Sydney’s weather at the end, so I’m not sure if it was meant to air nationally.
Would love to see video of this.

7News Melbourne is bringing back Pet of the Week. Each weekend, Tyra Stowers will introduce a pet from RSPCA Victoria which is awaiting adoption. The first one aired after the weather tonight.
The bulletin used to have a similar segment a couple of years ago featuring pets from Lost Dogs Home.
