They could be reading anything but, in contrast to most stories, the caps show there was no graphic support of any kind - text or background which is unusual.
I probably should have said video capture, I was hoping to see how it was presented. but I appreciate the stills from Perth nonetheless!
Hi does one copy from 7 plus To send the video 27 minutes into Wednesday nights Bulletin for this who can access 7plus - 7 news Perth
Coming to Media Watch tonight.
Odd that Sydney can do that but QLD can’t do the equivalent.
Also note the background subtle difference - Sydney is blue-to-maroon horizontally while QLD is vertically.
Odd? Someone in Sydney had the idea, someone in Brisbane didn’t.
Thing is though, they did have them last year:
Maybe they forgot. Maybe the graphics were removed from their System.
Maybe QLD realised they were incredibly tacky and left NSW to do their own thing .
Obviously all states would have done the same promo.
I think Qld modified the national one that they were using late last year with this one where they walk around the city talking about connecting (as opposed to the dark newsroom backdrop).
Yes Perth is the same as Qld
According to Inside Mail, one of the early ideas raised under the SCA / SWM merger when the radio arm had more control, was their suggestion to remove local 6pm news bulletins in favour of a single, national 6pm bulletin.
Whilst this would save costs, it would come at the price of local relevance and viewers, and the plan was reportedly only shut down when Kerry Stokes reshuffled the board and put his foot down.
