They’re uniform in terms of inconsistency.
As I have previously stated on here, They may be inconsistent sets but that is only because we as members of this forum see all the sets at the same time like above, Most Joe average viewers wouldn’t know that the Perth Set looks different to the Sydney Set etc.
They aren’t the best-looking sets around but the set doesn’t tell us the news the presenter does so regardless of how the set around them looks.
Turns out the cruising special was produced by CJZ.

7NEWS Presents – Cruising the Biggest Storm
Premieres this Sunday at 7pm
Is this the end of cruising as we know it?
This Sunday, the extraordinary history of cruising and its darker side laid bare in this 7NEWS documentary event
The cruising industry is being battered by the worst crisis in its history as more than 300 ghost ships lie idle around the globe. In the face of the pandemic will a holiday on the high seas ever be the same again?
Australians are the most avid cruise-goers in the world. On average almost 1.5 million Aussie holiday makers take a cruise every year. That was until March this year. Now, the cruising industry is desperate to get back on the water – and there’s no shortage of demand from cruise-starved passengers.
Featuring interviews with insiders, whistleblowers, experts and ordinary travellers, this documentary-length investigation reveals the heartbreaking stories of passengers who contracted COVID-19 on board cruises and explores what the industry will look like in the future.
When can cruising resume and how safe will it be? Critics warn that if the cruise lines get it wrong the whole industry could go under. The stakes are incredibly high.
That looks like a Channel 7 version of Nine’s horrific promos for 60 Minutes. Fearmongering and sensationalist at best.
Shame they couldn’t try a different way of promoting it.
This shot looks really busy and confusing. They are discussing the NSW mystery cases but has a photo of QLD in the background?
Much better.
Awkward as fuck.
There’s so much wrong with that angle. It almost looks like Peter Mitchell’s about to fall off the screen.
They should move the desk back to where it was originally and it would look about 3000x better.
100% (as we’ve all said a million times ).
It’s such a shame because this looked quite good on launch night. Especially the date on the desk.
I agree! And bring back the date on the desk!
And have every other set in the country (except Sydney) to look like this (but better of course)
Studio is still very impractical and just a poor design overall.
Smash the screens and start over!
I wouldn’t say its that bad. it’s still the best Seven set in the country IMO. I wouldn’t mind seeing it rolled out nationally as long as they fixed the obvious flaws.
Featuring David Koch, Pauline Hanson, Mark Latham, Jeff Kennett, Alan Jones and any other angry old folk that we all know of
I’d like to see Sydney try and virtually continue the frames into the backdrop, similar to what Melbourne do:
Yesssss
That’s something I don’t want though
lol
No 5pm news in Sydney and Melbourne tomorrow with horse racing coverage extended to 5:30pm.
Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth will still receive the 5pm bulletin.
