If that photo was in black and white…
“Ferguson. The new fragrance from Calvin Klein.”
Sorry, couldn’t resist!

I still don’t understand the hatred of blue. Seven’s news has had blue in it forever and the current sets are full of it. Adelaide’s set being the red and white exception and yet most people here hate that set.
Red and blue go nicely together. Seven just don’t use it very well anymore.
I will make a solid prediction though: there will be a huge MediaSpy uproar regardless of what they do. You can’t please everyone.
I predict that there will be no relaunch today and we will have our hopes up for nothing
Brisbane is the best of the east coast. The other two look so awkward.
Have they photoshopped Mitch’s smile? It looks fake?
You can’t really see the red logo on this, it gets lost. Either have white behind it or reverse it to white!
Probably because the logo is somewhat blurred/faded.
I think it’s because they have put a black glow behind it which doesn’t help. I would have done it a white glow. It’s in with the brand and makes it legible.
Yes, blue has been in previous set and graphics designs, but it’s been used sparingly or at least equally to other colours. Compare that to today’s sets and graphics which are almost a wash of just blue.
Using blue for news is fine, look at Nine and Ten, but there’s a line where there’s too much it just looks bad and Seven have crossed it.
News update/promo with new end board - GC version.
Queensland end board.
Previously posted from promo:
It does, but still isn’t incredibly clear. A lot of companies would die if they saw that as no brand guidelines ever allow display of a logo in that form.
And it does nothing for brand identity in my opinion. Seven is the red network - their logo is unmistakably red and I think in terms of brand identity they could do better in rolling with this.
Have you seen their YouTube channels lately?
Nope. But my point is, whoever has designed the guidelines for it has no clue. That’s my point.
No changes to Melbourne.
How surprising
Sydney seems to have a new set of robotic cameras in use for the 4pm and 6pm bulletins, and The Latest. No jib, fixed angles, jolty zooms etc.
Not sure how long they have been in place, Sunrise/Morning Show/Morning News all seem to still be run by humans.
Yes! I noticed this last week but wasn’t sure! Glad I’m not the only one who noticed. Operates much like Melbourne.
Interesting! I thought they would have waited till the move
My guess is they are using this time for testing and experimenting (particularly for Sunrise/The Morning Show) so they can transition to a fully automated studio come next year.
