Take notes channel Nine
Disagree. 10s set is far more visually appealing than Sevens. I’ve never been a fan of the Sydney set. Far too washed out in red and white. Also, I’m not a fan of the angled desk.
Could still have been The Latest: At noon or Midday
Move over News at Noon, and welcome The Latest at Lunch.
Should have had more news stories. Should have had the Debrief (panellists talking about hot topics) down the track. Not on day one.
I agree with you. I’m worried about Melbourne’s new set soon
Or just call it The Daily in a nod to a similarly underwhelming nightly digital news attempt from the same network stable.
Are Seven seriously expecting viewers to buy into this half-hearted attempt at competition? History has shown that this kind of format didn’t work as a mid-afternoon Sunrise-lite offering at 2 PM, nor at 11 PM—and it certainly doesn’t feel appropriate for the midday slot.
Granted, viewers might not want ‘hard news’ in the middle of their lunch break, but an 11 AM-style format, with a softer, more relaxed approach, would seem far better suited for this time slot.
The current Melbourne set is a lot better. Unfortunately, I think we’ll see an exact replica is Sydney’s news set at HSV7.
you see that on National bulletins too
He means ‘rarely seen’.
So how did this all play out?
Hopefully it will evolve over time.
7 News: The Daily, sure.
Yeah Seven’s is a bit busy but 10’s blue overload looks worse. Reminds me of what Seven used to have (which was heavily criticised).
The red and white is a much nicer combo
It was 4 minutes into the first break, skipping finance and a Tik Tok story.
Or 7 Daily News or 7 News: Daily
So Perth’s 30 minute local bulletin becomes a 4 minute insert just chopped into the bulletin, not even a pre recorded throw from Tarsh. Pathetic.
They need to stick to the 7 News branding without the National bit added.
