I agree. The new titlecard moves all so quickly you cant distinguish anything. I hope they keep the old one really.

perhaps the melbourne control room are protesting about how shit their GFX package looks

Does Qld have the youngest news reading team?
I was going to make a similar comment. Not a lot of experienced reporters left across the board there- Brisbane seems to have the youngest crew. Is Katrina the most senior now?

Also the actual newsreaders especially compared to SA/WA/Vic.
I actually think they have a good team, even though they’re young… Marlina, Mac, Joel, Katrina are all very competent.
If Seven News Queensland has the youngest local presenting/reporting team of the network, surely Sydney wouldn’t be that far behind?
Perhaps I’d have a different perspective if I actually lived North of the Border I’m currently not permitted to enter, and therefore saw full bulletins on a more regular basis.
But personally I think the presenter/reporting team on Seven News Queensland is OK but nothing overly spectacular. It might be 1000% better than the absolute disgrace to Australian journalism (especially considering where they were in the 1990s/2000s + with the TCN/GTV newsrooms still reasonably good) that is Nine News Queensland, but this isn’t really saying much.
Seven Melbourne has some experienced reporters, but also some of the youngest out there reporting

While not as clear as the pictures which usually come out of the Sydney studio, I reckon it’s still native HD - looks clearer than TCN Studio 23 to my eyes anyway:
