Seven News Content and Appearance (2015-2020)

Actually a great idea. Have a weather hub and do all the crosses from there. Could even do a promo with Brownie, Tony Auden and Jane Bunn together as they all go national throughout the day. “Turn to Seven News for accurate forecasts.”

It started Sunday. First saw it on the weather preview and wondered if it actually meant anything during the actual weather segment, but no. Not entirely sure what the colours are meant to stand for.

Is it meant to be similar colours to ones seen on a Diagnostic Weather Chart?

The colours remind me of Seven’s promotion campaign from the start of this year as well as 1999, 2001 and 2002.

The “7 Weather Centre” graphic reminds me a little of the “7 Weather Station” branding that was used (at least here in Sydney) during the Late 90s.

Not sure if the multi coloured stipes are supposed to be a hint of updated branding or anything though.

Martin Place was probably busy with rehearsals for tomorrow night’s Federal Election coverage this afternoon?

A reminder to Seven Brisbane just incase they ever have to produce an afternoon bulletin that goes to air in this market again: Sydneysiders like having 7 Day forecasts for both the City & West!

Really not a fan of the Gold writing, it seems to be part of the package now.

That chroma key is so gross

argh that “set” is disgusting

Well 200,000 viewers don’t care about the set its about the news nothing else

While you’re probably right that most viewers don’t really care, I still reckon the most Seven loyalist market in metropolitan Australia deserves better.

Perth’s #1 News deserves nothing less than the market’s best set, not this cheap CGI garbage with what appears to be a ridiculously oversized desk.

If they continue on the same pathway, next year the ‘set’ is 5 years old which means a new one may be on the way then.
