From what I have also heard im pretty sure Sam won’t be doing weather in today tonight. If there is weather there will be no presenter or it will be pre recorded.

Have you heard of any changes we might see on Monday? Hopefully the hour long Bulletin is more polished than it is currently.
Presentation wise no, but there will be a local and national focus with longer reports and a sports report. Also to point out tonight there was a sign off from Rick and Sue like they used to say here’s Monika with today tonight. Pretty sure Monikas intro was pre recorded though. There was also a promo of the new local afternoon news with Sam at the desk

To be honest, I haven’t seen that GWN breakaway after 4:30. Youtube detected nothing from it.

Oh, I’m just pointing out of lack of WA Television vids uploaded to Youtube, especially regional and remote areas. I’m just wondering how GWN handled the afternoon news since they have a 5:30 pm local news on weekdays.

I don’t think it’s a good look at all that Sam Jolly was not there last night and there was no weather presenter on a night when we perhaps really needed one with all the wild and extreme weather around this weekend. This is where I really wish Perth had someone like David Brown in Sydney. I was also hoping Sam Jolly would not actually be presenting the 4PM news but they would just have her exclusively presenting weather like they do in the other 4PM news’ around the country, using their 6PM weather presenter in the 4PM news. Now it means she will likely just be reading it and doing both news and weather which I personally don’t think is a good look. I like having a separate news and weather presenter in all news bulletins.

In the big wind and rain Perth had last night? I think many, including myself, would have still been home watching TV in that sort of weather.
On another note, another new Perth news promo started showing last night including all Perth related news programs i.e. Sunrise Perth News, the new 4PM news, the 6PM news and TT with the end picture showing the Seven News and TT logo together. It reminded me of what Adelaide have been doing for a long time now on their update endtags with their Seven News and different TT logo together with Jane, John & Rosanna together as you can see below:
It’s making me think that Perth should do something similar with Rick, Sue & Monika together for their update endtags or something.

I guess, as far as proximity is concerned, I’d bet TNT will switch the afternoon news to Melbourne. But I will not be surprised if they continue the bulletin from Sydney.
