If Port make it to the GF, expect the following to happen:
- Seven to air the 2004 Grand Final at some point in SA
- Seven Adelaide to send half the newsroom over to Melbourne to cover the Grand Final.

Not sure what happened in 2017, but I donât think viewers switched off in large numbers following the Crows lost.
However, they could just run with the post-match at the last minute if they do win.

Presentations are supposed to be completed by 5.30pm AEST
They are followed by âpost-match entertainmentâ in the official schedule.
Usually the presentations rate very highly, sometimes higher than the game. With the post match significantly less.

Yes, but Seven Adelaide have stuck with the broadcast right through until 6pm. Not a big thing, just thought it was worth pointing out.

I think last year the game didnât finish until 5:25pm and the presentations and stuff finished just in time for 6pm news (Melb). If that happens again then 7 could just show the extended post match stuff until the Adelaide news (if port participates & wins)

Seven must think a 1% (which is a show that always rates really well local or overseas version) is the best thing to put on after the news on AFL GF night, maybe theyâre hoping for a high audience, something like 1m+ total national average. With movies pushed back.
The last time a movie went massive this night was following Richmondâs historic pumping of Adelaide in 2017 with Indiana Jones, over 800k metro broadcast including over 300k in Melbourne, figures not seen since the late 2000s.
