Seven Network - Programs and Schedules

If it was to air on the main channel then post 8.30 is a good slot. Anything earlier than that won’t cut it.

Good decision by Seven so far.

Move The Goldbergs Season 8 to 7flix Please?

I think it’s for one night only, due to Seven’s coverage of Women’s Big Bash League season opener.

Looks like Seven are going to use AGT as filler during the early part of the cricket season. Can’t imaging many viewers following the show to 7Flix at 5.30pm.

Yes, the 7Flix schedule for that night is
5:00 pm American Dad
5:30 pm America’s Got Talent
7:30 pm We’re The Millers

Grace

Coming soon

Detective Superintendent Roy Grace has been a dedicated police officer for many years, yet recently he finds his career in serious jeopardy. Struggling not only with the unsolved disappearance of his beloved wife Sandy six years earlier but also with recent damage to his reputation as a result of his unorthodox policing methods, Grace is warned by his superiors that he is on very thin ice. Surrounded by cold case files which are a constant reminder of his own lack of closure, Grace is struggling to move on despite his best efforts to.

A visit from old friend and colleague Detective Sergeant Glenn Branson, who is determined to pull Roy Grace back into the land of the living, soon finds Grace drawn into two investigations which test his abilities and instincts to breaking point. He and Branson, together with colleagues Emma Jane Boutwood, Bella Moy and Nick Nicholl must put together the pieces, first to solve the disappearance of a groom who has vanished without a trace on his stag night just days before his wedding and then to investigate two sinister deaths, which Grace believes to be the work of a twisted serial killer using the South coast as a hunting ground.

With his actions under scrutiny in the press at every turn and his professional standing on a knife’s edge, each case starts to take its toll on Grace who must rely on his instincts and dogged pursuit of the truth. When he is put under pressure by superiors to leave his Brighton home and take up a post in a neighbouring Constabulary, Grace wrestles with whether he is prepared to let go of the home and past he shared with Sandy once and for all.

As the second investigation puts the life of one of their own in serious peril, the team is pushed to the brink in a race against time before more innocent lives are lost. It soon becomes apparent, however, that whoever is behind these deaths, it has never just been about murder, it’s for entertainment.

Grace consists of two telemovies, based on the novels Dead Simple and Looking Good Dead by Peter James. Dead Simple debuted on ITV in March 2021, followed by Looking Good Dead in May.

They have a long-running history of UK dramas / procedurals now, which have rated high, even recent years where ratings have been low they’ve ended up with good consolidated numbers (e.g.) more recently is Manhunt. So in that regard somewhat pays for itself.

Not sure it brings in those younger viewers however.

What do people on here think about Seven’s selection of midday movies?

I notice most of them seem to be of the mystery/obsessive genre involving whodunnits, murders and stalkers. I wonder how it rates?

Aren’t most of them telemovies from Hallmark Channel in the USA?

It’s one of Seven’s longest running continuous timeslots so I’m guessing it must rate ok not to replace with B-grade UK or USA reality shows.

With Big Brother VIP only starting in November, does that mean Seven will air filler content for the weeks commencing Sun 17 Oct, Sun 24 Oct and potentially even Sun 31 Oct?

They’ve got the civilian season of SAS.

Ahh yeah I forgot about that.
