Seven Network - Programs and Schedules

First point, that is rather long. But still, it does usually finish each week around the 8:40pm mark.

Secondly, rare for Seven, who are usually always bang on with their EPG (except after sport over-run).

Does Seven seriously have no local content after MKR? They’re just relying on MKR which is decaying and nothing else is working.

Schedule Update

Tuesday 9 April
10:00 PM Special: Dumped: Revenge Extremes

The Resident S2 Ep20 is out of the schedule as that episode will not be broadcast in the US for another week (a repeat is airing next week).

Also note that post game coverage of AFL has been reduced to 30 minutes on Thursdays so The Latest is brought forward. Schedules above have been edited.

95% of viewers wouldn’t know or care what is airing in other markets.

That is your opinion. Many do especially when some markets are getting something and is advertised and a particular market is missing out

And… Pointless. As evidenced right now (doing a press conference as at 11:10pm)

I don’t know why Seven programming thought Sport would end the telecast bang on 11pm for a Seven News late bulletin.

Creates confusion more than anything, past two weeks thet got it right, finally scheduling until the usual finish time (i.e.) probably ~11:30pm tonight.

Agree. The casual viewer wouldn’t give a toss. It’s impossible these days to keep up with scheduling changes in your own market let alone the rest of Australia. Anyone serious about keeping track of a favourite show they didn’t want to miss would’ve given up on Australian commercial television years ago unless they’re a masochist.

This morning in Perth (not sure if other areas are the same) but 70 is now 7mate HD and no longer 7HD. I wonder why they changed the main channel back to SD and the multi channel to HD. It was not like this on Friday, as I always watch the main channels in HD.

Apologies if wrong thread, don’t really know which one this fits into.

But can anyone in Perth acess 7HD? Channel 70 seems to be displaying a HD simulcast of 7MATE. Can’t deal watching Sunrise in SD my screen is blurry and it’s killing me :joy:

Going to assume that it’s AFL related.

Last night during the AFL coveragfe there were plenty of on screen references to tonight’s Collingwood versus West Coast game being on in Melb on 7 and in Perth on 7mate AND IN HD on channel 70 (the caps was how they put it on screen). I assume it’ll swap back tomorrow.

Yeah, Seven have done a few temporary/24 hour switches to 7mate for AFL coverage (most notably in Melbourne & Adelaide on April 24 the last two years - probably also this year) since the main channel became the default HD service, so I’d imagine that today’s temporary changeover in Perth for coverage of the Collingwood vs West Coast game is one of them.

Seven previously scheduled this premiere on 26 February.

Seven showing MKR through Easter non-ratings to pick up viewers lost to Married at First Sight, and to make its ratings look a bit better.

Can’t believe it’s taken this long for them to show big shows during non-ratings. Must be desperate.
