In the US, Fox renews The Resident and 9-1-1 for 3rd seasons.
Seven have gone amendment crazy and they are shuffling things around in various markets.
I donât see much of a problem? So long as everything combined across the cities achieves good shares for Seven (i.e.) they had a clear win last Friday. Then it should be fine, even if thereâs lots of differences in different markets.
I guess your point of view comes from whether you take the âto get the best shareâ side or the viewer side.
Showing half of a double episode of a show in two markets followed by the classic, rather than just the double episode and no classic is poor form for the regular viewers of a show. It would make little difference to shares anyway.
This was just one point, but most of the amendments would make no real difference to shares but be more satisfactory for the viewer.

Seven and several European networks have commissioned a new version of Around the World in 80 Days, based on the novel by Jules Verne. Filming for the 8-part mini series starts filming in mid 2019.

NBC made a 3-part mini-series in 1989 based on the same book. It starred Pierce Brosnan.
Last time Seven was involved in a mini-series with an overseas broadcaster was The Pacific (2010) with HBO.
Better Homes and Gardens went way overtime tonight. According to EPG, it was scheduled to finish at 8.50pm but ended at 8.48pm. It has to be one of the longest regular episodes in the showâs history.
Wow, that is late. There is no reason for Better Homes to finish after 8.30. Finishing 18 minutes later, for any lifestyle isnât necessary
What about for ratings manipulation?
haha, I always forget about the ratings manipulation
First point, that is rather long. But still, it does usually finish each week around the 8:40pm mark.
Secondly, rare for Seven, who are usually always bang on with their EPG (except after sport over-run).

Schedule Update
Tuesday 9 April
10:00 PM Special: Dumped: Revenge Extremes
The Resident S2 Ep20 is out of the schedule as that episode will not be broadcast in the US for another week (a repeat is airing next week).
Also note that post game coverage of AFL has been reduced to 30 minutes on Thursdays so The Latest is brought forward. Schedules above have been edited.
95% of viewers wouldnât know or care what is airing in other markets.
That is your opinion. Many do especially when some markets are getting something and is advertised and a particular market is missing out

And⌠Pointless. As evidenced right now (doing a press conference as at 11:10pm)
I donât know why Seven programming thought Sport would end the telecast bang on 11pm for a Seven News late bulletin.
Creates confusion more than anything, past two weeks thet got it right, finally scheduling until the usual finish time (i.e.) probably ~11:30pm tonight.
95% of viewers wouldnât know or care what is airing in other markets.
Agree. The casual viewer wouldnât give a toss. Itâs impossible these days to keep up with scheduling changes in your own market let alone the rest of Australia. Anyone serious about keeping track of a favourite show they didnât want to miss wouldâve given up on Australian commercial television years ago unless theyâre a masochist.
