If this were to materialize (I doubt it will), Seven’s heading down a news-intensive route in daytime.
Which is completely fine if it rates.
Basically the same move every US local station pulled when becoming independent then.

The Afternoon Show will only work if its catering it offerings to a different audience than what is already offered. Nine went down this route briefly when Nine News Now and the Afternoon News screened from 3pm til 5:30pm then had National Nine News and ACA from 6pm.
Also to have an afternoon programs, 7 should cut back the duration of The Morning Show to 2 hours, cut Sunrise back to 3 hours and screen something else from 10:30am. If they need Australian content, Try Home And Away encore with The Chase Australia if they have nothing else to fill the gap.
I think this proposed Afternoon Show will be a flop unless they provide something different pre 1pm to what’s on offer.
Blankety Blank might be a good one to rotate with The 1% Club on Wednesday nights.
I don’t think it would work in prime time because many of the British celebrities would be unknown to Australians.
I was referring to the idea of an Australian version.
Seven Upfronts Wednesday 22 October at Royal Randwick.
That wasn’t clear because the UK version of 1% airs on Wednesday nights.
I mean, given the original post said this:
I thought it was pretty clear what I was referring to. I will admit I had the nights mixed up, but the main point still stands: it could become a good rotation to help avoid 1% becoming too stale.
It won’t be shown until December according to this post from the event’s FB page. The Friday timeslot was chosen as Seven will broadcast Carols in the Domain on Saturday, December 20.

Is season 25 referring to 2025? Pretty sure it didn’t have 24 previous seasons??
Aw yeah, day 7 hopefully axes The Chase
Yes 2025
Just realised there is no NRL preliminary final Saturday night of the AFL GF. It’s Friday night & Sunday - which is weird but idk NRL. So 7’s night programming is not competing against NRL
To be replayed on Grand Final day at 3am (local) on 7mate.
Why would they do this, and why this timeslot? To confuse viewers that there is a game ongoing?
They’ve repeated a few games overnight every week for a few years (yesterday morning was Broncos/Colts, and they’re repeating Steelers/Pats on Friday at around the same time.)

Police Chief Karl Alberg’s commitment to Gibsons is steadily deepening, as is his commitment to Cassandra Lee. But newly expanded investigative responsibilities are putting new pressure on his small police team, just as Cassandra’s election to Town Council begins to test their relationship in unexpected ways: Gibsons’ wily Mayor Christie Holman plays Cassandra’s idealistic vision for the community against Alberg’s desperate need for increased police funding.
At the precinct, Alberg welcomes Corporal Laila Jackson, a gifted protégé from his last posting whose career was sideswiped by a harrowing officer-involved shooting. As the demands on his small team escalate, Alberg’s leadership skills are more vital than ever - and meanwhile he and Cassandra, the love of his life, face new stresses and challenges together.
