There has to be some sort of advantage gained by sitting on it for future use, or its that bad its not worth showing
I can understand them holding it over for drama/local quota points but other shows have come and gone. There have been some shockers on 7 mate so it couldn’t be any worse.
Surely, it’s a show that could be filler and help with points if it kept being repeated. They make some odd programming decisions. They have one season of a New Zealand show Mean Mums which they keep repeating every year. But strangely they don’t show seasons 2 and 3.
I don’t know if anyone reads Puck (brilliant hollywood industry news) but Netflix is doing absolutely huge business with acquired old shows and movies like Suits
They call it “the Netflix effect” - if it’s new to Netflix it could be new to you. B and C grade level series are movies shoot to the top of Netflix most watched because they give the shows/movies prominent position on the UI Home Screen and people are looking for not cutting edge but comfort shows
Seems Family time with some promotion buzz and a prominent position on 7+ and promoted a a “7+ Original” like the streamers so could carve out a successful position as pretty much the ONLY aussie sitcom out there right now
7Plus has been doing lots of this and according to Seven executives drives a lot of traffic
Surely 7 needs to backtrack on renewing Big Brother?
Give The Mole another run instead, it’s been 10 years.
Yes on The Mole. They could even co-commission it with Netlifx (who air the current American version of The Mole).
Given what The Traitors rated in the last two seasons, I don’t think The Mole will work wonders either, even if it’s on Seven.
Hell Ch7 would be better off nabbing Traitors over renewing BB.
The Mole is a better format than The Traitors, and it has an old fanbase, and possibly a new fanbase that was exposed to it on Netflix.
I don’t think the traitors failure would have much bearing on The Mole.
Taste Buds is expected to debut on 7mate in April next year.
Herald Sun reports today that Swan started filming last week at various restaurants and locations across Melbourne, and is getting it all done before he heads back to the US with his partner Taylor Wilson to see her family for Christmas. Swan also ruled out furthering a partnership with Seven, at least with the footy, as he will pull on the boots again next year.

Seven brings An Audience with Kylie to homes around Australia
In news to get your heart beatin’, the Seven Network is pleased to announce it has secured the exclusive Australian television rights to An Audience with Kylie, filming this week at London’s Royal Albert Hall for ITV, and set to premiere on Channel 7 and 7plus in 2024.
Join the global music icon as she looks back on the highlights of her five decades in music and showbiz, performing both her current floorfillers – including the Grammy-nominated, ARIA Award-winning smash-hit Padam Padam – and a dazzling array of favourites from her much-celebrated back catalogue.
On top of sensational live performances, Kylie will answer an array of questions posed by specially invited VIP guests and celebrity Kylie super-fans, all set to raise the roof at this spectacular music event.
Don’t miss a glittering celebration of the Aussie pop megastar’s incredible career coming to Channel 7 and 7plus in 2024.
An Audience with Kylie is produced by Lifted Entertainment (part of ITV Studios) and co-produced with BMG.
The special is the latest revival of ITV’s long-running An Audience with… format, which most recently saw music superstar Adele host a hit show at the London Palladium in November 2021.
This is a great format… and could easily be adapted for Australian artists and audiences as a series of regular specials.
Was going to say that, this is exactly the space 7 should be in.
I like 7’s commitment to Australian music and supporting Australian artists
ITV’s media release says the Kylie special premieres in the UK next Sunday (December 10) and runs for 75 minutes.
There are already some fan videos posted online and on YouTube.
According to ScreenScribe.net, An Audience with Kylie will premiere on TVNZ 1 in New Zealand on New Year’s Day.
How much longer will we have to wait before Seven airs the special?
Start of ratings I’m guessing?
