Seven Network 2020

They do but networks often exclude them. 7 will probably include them.

Obviously you’ve realise it says Jane… but, how would Mick with Matt and Gary be ‘huge’?

I hope they have a few surprises in sport for 2020.

It’s sounding like a steak vs steak, state vs state cooking competition for the new Matt Preston and Gary Mehigan vehicle if the name is anything to go by: Plate of Origin.

Maybe even an international “flavours of the world” concept. That would certainly sell well around the world for Seven.

Sounds horrific.

LOVE the concept !!! LOCAL food, state v state, judged by masterchefs !

Sounds original. Not like Family Food Fight, at all.

Really? I think if they said Poo vs Poo you would be loving the concept.

I’m having visions of Seven trotting out Todd McKenny dressed as Peter Allen singing Everything Old Is New Again to introduce all this recycled programming.

Is it wrong that the thing I’m looking forward to most about Seven’s Upfronts is the new version of Sherbet’s Howzat that is going to be unveiled?

I have so little faith in Seven to deliver something I’m going to be interested in watching in 2020.

I have so little faith that the shows Seven announces tonight will get them out of the deep hole they find themselves in because the people who allowed the network to get into that position are still in charge of their programming…

That would also go in line with Gary’s podcast A Plate to Call Home. So they might have wanted to tie it into that too.

News and sport are the two things that are keeping Seven competitive at the moment. So, I’d expect a lot of talk for advertisers about sport coverage especially Olympics. As far as news goes, interesting to see if there is anything new to announce yet given that Sunday Night is gone and Andrew Denton appears to be out as well.

Last up-fronts saw 7Food launched, surely there isn’t room on the multiplex for another multichannel

The 2020 upfronts will start soon at Sydney’s International Convention Centre.
IMO it will be Seven’s most important upfront since 2005 (when the network launched Desperate Housewives and Lost) and 2007 (when it regained AFL broadcast rights).

Seems the ‘one place’ tag might be a theme for today’s announcements…

Must be reviving that slogan next year.

They loosely used it a few years back.
