Seven’s coverage of test cricket finished at 5.46pm AEDT. Instead of a post-match wrap and an interview or two, Sydney and Melbourne viewers got an abridged version of Border Security before the 6pm news.
EDIT: day 2 coverage will start at 10am AEDT after Weekend Sunrise.

While NSW and Victoria had their own Seven News special bulletins covering bushfires during lunch break of the SCG test, other states and territories saw a review of the morning session as well as interviews with Glenn McGrath and Australian team coach Justin Langer. Yes - he does AFL games, generally the Friday night game and some Thursday nights, and will be involved in the Olympics.
Since this is the cricket thread, no, he has no involvement in cricket coverage.
Special 30 minute post game show at the end of today’s play in the third test between Australia and New Zealand at the SCG. It airs in NSW, ACT, VIC and TAS on 7mate, and main channel in other states, as the lead-up to the BBL clash between the Sixers and the Strikers from Coffs Harbour.

Seven and Cricket Australia are planning an all star cricket match to raise money for bushfire victims.
I think the match will be held either in the rest days before the BBL finals (January 28 or 29) or after the BBL final (February 9 onwards).

Erin Holland chatted with her fiance Ben Cutting after Brisbane Heat’s win over Hobart Hurricanes in the BBL last night. Cutting was named player of the match for his 43 not out from 29 balls.
That was hands down one of the best interviews by her ever! She was terrific
