Australian test captain Tim Paine joining James Brayshaw and Ricky Ponting to commentate the BBL Melbourne Derby tonight. Paine isn’t playing BBL this season and is on a well deserved break after the 5-0 clean sweep in the test series against Pakistan and New Zealand.
Elyse Villani is boundary reporter tonight.
Is the Adelaide v Port Bushfire T20 match being broadcasted?
I don’t think so. On February 2 Seven will be busy covering the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road men’s cycling race from Geelong and surrounds, and the T20 women’s cricket match between Australia and India from Canberra.
It’s got seven listed as a partner on the release though
Should do a double header - Victoria vs All Stars in both Cricket and AFL.
I think the AS cricket should be played at the MCG first before the AFL at Marvel. This is what I am considering:
2:30PM - All Stars Cricket (MCG)
6PM - News
7PM - All Stars v Victoria AFL (Marvel) [Match starts at 7:30pm]
Times are AEDST.
The AFLW match is being held beforehand
It would be broadcast on 7mate like all the other AFLW matches.
Not saying it’s a Seven or either Fox but someone has been caught according to this story breaking on FIVEAA in Adelaide.

Sorry to say this AGAIN, but I just can’t move past the promos for the BBL in Brisbane. It gets at me every time one comes on.
It’s advertised onscreen as 7pmAEST on 7mate. That could only apply to Qld as NSW would be 7pm on 7, and the other states would be different times. The voiceover doesn’t say an actual time.
Why can’t they just change the visual to 6pm? (Qld time). It wouldn’t require a new ad, just this one being correct in the first place.
Even better, say “starts 6pm on 7mate then on 7”.
Sorry for the rant.
The Feb 28th Collingwood v Melbourne game is a Fox game so unless that changes, Seven wouldn’t be broadcasting it
Where did you find that? Onot round one confirmed according to this:
It will change
Hasn’t even been announced.
Cricket Australia announced details of bushfire charity match outside the MCG this afternoon, attended by Shane Warne, Ricky Ponting and Alex Blackwell. The Bushfire Cricket Bash will be held on Saturday, February 8, where Warne and Ponting will captain the two sides with Blackwell also playing.
The charity match will be part 2 of T20 tripleheader on Seven and Fox Cricket on that day, after the T20 women’s international (Australia v India) at Melbourne’s Junction Oval, but before the BBL final. The charity match will be held as curtain raiser to the BBL decider so the venue won’t be known until January 31.
Then… just to get me going again… at 6.55 on 7, they advertise BBL and “next on 7mate”… NO!!
It’s now on 7mate, next on 7!
7Qld really needs to take over their own advertising. Ads produced in another state are not working!
So from last season,
Mark Readings, Phil Tufnell, Dirk Nannes, and Jason Gillespie not involved in Sevens coverage this summer without a reason as to why.
Jason Gillespie is the coach of the Adelaide Strikers so he is not available. (He was on ABC for the t20s and first test and Seven for the first test)
Not sure about the others. Phil mentioned at the end of his last game last season that he was looking forward to returning so not sure what happened afterwards.
