I know that Saturday BBL games are a FOX Exclusive, but I reckon Seven Sydney will be a bit peeved that the Sydney derby between Thunder and Sixers wasn’t on FTA tonight, given the very close finish. EDIT: Which has gone to a Super Over!

Not every Saturday, Seven has one in a couple of weeks - but on that week no BBL on Friday.

The good thing with this though, it provides incentives for the fans to attend the match!
If they don’t have Foxtel, The only way watch it is to attend it!
I really am hoping to get a big crowd at the G’.
Melbourne Derbies are always played on the weekend and if not are on a public holiday so it is easier for people to attend
Personally, as a stars fan, I would prefer our matches that are exclusive to Fox be our home matches again to get people to show up to the ground if they want to watch the stars play!!

I still remember the BBL cricket Melbourne derby a few years back that got over 80,000 at the MCG, I was there, was incredible.

While I’m still annoyed every day with the advertised “AEDT” times rather than local times, I do think 7 has promoted the cricket much better this summer.
The BBL seems less “all over the place” with the WBBL being played out first before the tests and BBL.
The use of Howzat! in the promos has been great! Graphics have been great too.
Would love to see “Cmon Aussie” brought back for next year’s tests. Interesting CommBank using it in women’s cricket promos atm.

7mateHD will be (re)launched in the metro markets in less than a fortnight.
Until then, we get it. Some of the coverage is shown on 7mate in Perth, but that’s just one of the many side effects of the three hour time difference between the East & West Coasts during Summer.
If anything you should be thankful you’re able to watch the coverage in full (regardless of picture resolution), unlike the bad old days of five main channels when Nine would only air a few hours of coverage in the markets where test matches were being held, which resulted in many cricket fans trying to receive nearby regional stations which did carry the full days play!
