Interesting take by dailymail. Yes it’s daily Mail so how true it is, well I’ll let you be the judge.
If it is true than a court case could be on the cards for wrongful dismissal.

The Australian had a similar take regarding this. It’s paywalled (and can’t really be bothered to pay for that garbage) but if true then it will be quite interesting to see how it goes.

Well no, his contract just wasn’t renewed. He wasn’t fired, or terminated.
Does the Australian actually have anything more than the DM? The article seems to be linking the two with denials from Seven. I see the sections of the “twitter left” are coming to the same conclusion.
He was abysmal on their coverage, looked like he didn’t really want to be there or didn’t really enjoy it (at least as much as he used to in times gone by), for all we know just seeing out his contractual obligations last summer. Weren’t there rumours or questions asked last year about him reportedly being let go or going ‘MIA’ for a bit?
I remember their first Big Bash game and they let him host and call, he was wild, screaming “this is bloody fantastic, I’ve always wanted to do this, yeah here we go!” Exactly the sort of stuff everyone ended up having about Nine’s coverage in their later years like the locker room and ‘what’s for dinner’ chatter and dad jokes during those rain delays.
Good riddance IMO. Opportunity now for someone else I’d imagine, caller too. Hopefully just not more JB though.

TV blackbox reported that he had temper issues and unreliable.
Pulled out of some big bash duties late.
Easy to see why not offered another contract.
