I’m dumbfounded then.

How odd.

Ad break now, coverage supposedly ending in 7mins and still no announcement so its obviously either not happening or it’s a very short announcement.

Did they have the story ready to go just in case? Here’s last year’s -same headline and note the identical paragraph plus the red circle in the image

It is an AFL ritual that young football fans, often Auskick kids, present the players from the winning team with a premiership medal, and the players in return plonk a cap on the head of the child.

Can expect this type of article soon:

I agree, the commentary today was as expected, riddled with errors and both JB and BT lacked energy in the last quarter, and especially at the final siren. In fairness to them, the result wasn’t a great game but given what they’re there to do, they need to be better.

Also what’s BT’s ‘announcement’ far out hurry up and spill it

My guess is that BT said something he shouldn’t of said on the radio, or he got his wires crossed.

Big step down from the days of Bruce, Cometti and Sandy Roberts.

The announcement was definitely regarding Daniher, perhaps he just got cold feet post game or the Brisbane media department will announce the news later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Surprised there were no reporters crossing from Brisbane or Sydney not even live shots from the respective live sites

Sunday Herald Sun’s Fiona Byrne has revealed Kane Cornes switched from Nine to Seven, after receiving an invite to a dinner at the home of his friend and Seven director of sport Chris Jones.

The daring plan to lure Cornes to Seven only went into action after Jones was promoted to his new role at the start of July.

His approach to Cornes is believed to have started with a cold call to float the idea of him switching stations.

According to an insider, it was the invite to come over to Jones’ house and the human touch that chat brought to the negotiations, that led to footy’s most consistent headline maker seeing his future at Seven.

Seven’s vision for a revitalised and re-energised approach to its footy coverage and plan for a suite of new AFL related shows appealed to Cornes, as did the opportunity for him to part of Seven’s footy broadcast team in a special comments role, as well as sharing his opinions on 7News.

Could that ‘announcement’ meant that Brisbane were going to bring up Zorko and Sydney Mills to receive the cup?

lol

Wasn’t Darce hosting?

Might be to try and get the logo in there as much as possible? Also makes switching people out easier.

Contract. Rights agreement. Anti-siphoning. Not new.

Yeah, how else do you think they make money?

Why would Seven pay as much as they do if someone else is also showing it?

What

Cry more

They don’t always, especially in the last minute or so of the quarter.

Going to the break, not during game.

Guess what I did

What?

Definitely the Daniher retirement but it was leaked and so was dropped as a segment.

Geelong would have been a better game

There’s always one who is so full of himself.

Doubt it from Charlie

Cornes, Hutchy, Nick Riewoldt and Caro are one show for Seven next year as alluded to (Cornes reacted with “reportedly”) by Damien Barrett on the SFS just then.
