Audio on the TV I’m watching seems a little off too, had to change the audio setting/fiddle with the finer settings a bit earlier to get it right

Sony TV, via free to air.
It’s 4K so the HD picture always looks a bit soft but seems to be more noticeable than usual today.

The best bet in this new rights deal for ad-free Grand Final coverage is that Seven could (if they are allowed to, I don’t see why not though) offer an ad-free version on 7Plus for a once-off fee. If priced reasonably I could see it being an attractive option.
As far as today’s coverage goes, 7Plus seems to be about 45-60 seconds behind the live action. I would hope this is something they will address as Kayo seems to be pretty consistent around the 25-30 second mark (as a benchmark).
If Foxtel/Kayo really wanted to simulcast the GF I’m sure Seven would entertain a high enough offer from them. I doubt it would be commercially viable however.

They could offer a deal in which they take the Seven coverage without ad breaks, like they’ve done with Seven matches in the past.

I find no matter what you’re streaming it’s always roughly 90 seconds behind. Even Kayo is. My AFL app was at least a minute and a half ahead with their scoring VS watching on Kayo this year.

It’s hard to get away from ads and promotional components. That’s why it’s Live and Fee 
I noticed that one Seven promo in the 1st quarter didn’t have the score superimposed.

Yeah, the picture quality 7HD doesn’t look sharp at all. Indeed, there’s a fair bit of pixelation when it comes to fast moving action.

Anyone else experience issues with the ad’s of 7Plus - they sometimes go to separate ad’s than the terrestrial feed, then they go to another ad break but then suddenly cut back to the game after about 10-15 seconds.

Yep. Not new. Happens everyday. Every single day. Most noticeable during The Chase when they go to the news headlines and the ad they’ve inserted is longer than the update so the ad just gets cut off as they go back to Larry.

I know it’s not new, but surely today, out of all day’s, Seven would’ve made sure this isn’t an issue.
Unless you’re interested in the particular commercial, does it matter?
