Seven AFL Coverage

AFLW Fixture released. Not all the game starting times in September are confirmed due to AFL final series

Here is a clearer version

North Sydney Oval hosting an Aussie Rules match is very rare.

I also notice that matches will be played in Warrnambool (Reid Oval) and Mildura during the season.

Any broadcast details

According to a release by Carlton, “Three of the Blues’ five away fixtures will be on free-to-air on Channel Seven, in a big win for the Navy Blue faithful, with Round 4 Broadcast details against the Dockers still TBC”

Is it safe to assume 7 would be producing minimum 1 Friday night game, given Carlton has 2 away Friday nights?

I would imagine any games on Thursday (Round 1), Friday or Saturday starting at 7.10pm would be on 7/7mate.

With the T20 World Cup playing at a similar time many cricket venues (such as the SCG and Marvel Stadium) are unavailable.

They actually make a good team IMO.

Would be handy for the AFL to release this if clubs know! Is there any PDF doing the rounds?

This morning’s release of WBBL|08 fixture (see Seven Cricket Coverage thread) confirms both the WBBL and AFLW grand finals will be held on the weekend of November 27-28. Since Seven will be showing both, I think its preference will be for the GFs to not go head to head. One possibility is for the AFLW GF to be held in the afternoon and the WBBL GF at night.

Or a Saturday night and Sunday afternoon? Will depend on when and what World Cup games are on at the time.

EDIT: Just realised the WC will already be over :man_facepalming:

The men’s T20 World Cup final will be held on the evening of Sunday November 13, so there is no clash with AFLW finals.

An interesting instrumental arrangement of NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” was used to start tonight’s telecast.

WBBL final would most likely be at night, so AFLW in the afternoon followed by WBBL.
