Behind the scenes at the GC Suns for today’s season launch
some clunky wording from old mate Mr TV Aus here, making it sounds like there’s only a few consummate professionals at 7Sport and elsewhere.
Keep in mind this was the first season Fox Footy hasn’t shown (and FTA have shown) the season launch for a long long time
AFL sport into was pretty ugly.
Loos like there will be a graphics refresh in the broadcast. Well overdue but very very dated “rotating angled blinds animation” on everything for the full screens.
Not sold on purple for the Thursday theme.
Seven’s scorebug is the same as the one used for AFLW
The crew are using the same kind of mirrorless cameras from Fox League and Stan’s coverage of Super Rugby for close up shots. You can easily notice the difference in picture quality.
The permanent scorebug/clock is some real ‘grassroots clubs streaming their game on Facebook’ areas.
Those gradients are so, what, 2006?
The package is a mess. On some it’s flat gradients and then you have gloss on some full screen backgrounds and lower third graphics.
It’s the same as AFLW though so it’s been out for almost 2 months now
Think the telecast is looking slick.
I agree the on ground cameras look very good though. Great depth of field.
Not a fan of the new scoreboard graphics
Looks fantastic
That is very “un-Seven” like in the graphics department.
No trademark red which has been a staple colour of theirs for years.
Looks more like something you’d see on FOX.
Agree. I really love the new gfx package.
I don’t mind the graphics package but the scorebug is too big. There’s no need for the goal and behind totals constantly being on screen.
