Seven AFL Coverage

Seven, Foxtel and Telstra must be pleased with tonight’s season opener, bit of a thriller all the way, fairly high accuracy/goals = lots of ads too :money_mouth_face: I’ve noticed lots of sponsors and different activations, the biggest being the in-program on-ground ‘floating big screen’, also more a theatrical distributor/cinema TV spot for Mario using the famous game’s green pipes leading out of the MCG turf.

All this new “7+” on-air branding is really misleading though, with live stream rights not for another two years. There was an interview at Half Time (a new segment) and pushed viewers to 7Plus for extended.

I also think Seven did decent with alternative selections for those not interested in AFL and market specific too, with Thursday British and Canadian crime mystery steples for older viewers on 7Two, light/factuals and younger on 7mate, even younger, sitcom animations and a movie on 7flix and the relaity and young female content on the new Bravo - we’ll get an idea if these new line-ups have worked tomorrow morning. @TV.Cynic
