Don’t love the centred scoreboard… the behind and goals are too small. But, fox are worse according to Bailey Smith in comparison. Haha

Is there an image of this mic? You’d assume that would be the one Fox uses for their simulcast games?
Might have been a contract thing so that Fox could choose to use it if they wanted?
Even if he wasn’t he’ll be doing everything eventually.
I’m sure that story will be down quickly given his ambassadorial deal lol

I don’t mind it (although I’ve only been watching the Fox broadcast tonight). It’d be much less intrusive than the Fox one although I actually think both packages are very good, although maybe too-NFLised, but of course change is going to be met with distain/dislike by the general public.

Everything’s about the NFL nowadays
It’ll be interesting to see audience numbers and media stories in the morning about tonight’s season opener.
I reckon there’s been a lack of buzz TBH, especially since Cyclone Alfred and rightly so probably, on top of last night’s official game being cancelled and the backlash in general over ‘Round Zero’ all-Nsw and Qld games. Unfortunate for the brand new much hyped broadcast deal.
I think it’ll really get into gear from ‘Round 1’ with the traditional Richmond v Carlton next Thursday and hopefully no Cyclone and everybody in affected areas made it through safely.

I notice that 7plus will stream the Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) preliminary final between Nightcliff and St Mary’s tomorrow at 8.15pm AEDT. When has 7plus been streaming NTFL matches since?
Post-match show Extra Time started at 10.33pm AEDT, after Hawthorn players sang the club song. Abbey Holmes, Kane Cornes and Dale Thomas are hosting the show in the Hawks change room.
Due to main channel’s coverage of Cyclone Alfred, Extra Time is being shown on 7mate across Australia tonight.

This post game and also half time graphic makes me think that 7 will try to match the jumper colours as I think this would be the default colour for Hawks

Seven’s new graphics and commentary from tonight are still used for match highlights at the AFL website (and later on the league’s YouTube channel).

yeah, assumption at this point is AFL will use the host broadcasters footage, as opposed to Fox’s deal with Cricket Australia where they have to use Fox’s coverage.
Only chance that might be proven wrong is when 7WA does their own calls of Fox’s Sunday Perth games, but I doubt it.
