I don’t understand 7’s match result social posts. They are using all different graphics

Couldn’t get them to turn the right way around to the cameras? :man_facepalming:

Camera shy? Not used to all the prime time attention

Seven and Foxtel really need to sort that out

No different to Fox having to take the 7 host broadcast over the previous decade with “Live and Free” mics visible.

BT said this during the Crows v Kangaroos match.

‘It’s good to be at Adelaide Oval, the only broadcasters actually at the ground’

7 Perth has Ben Cousins, Dani Shuey and Daisy Pearce all sitting on the boundary for their Eagles v Dockers telecast.

I think 7+ will use the 7 Perth feed for all future highlights of those WA-based matches with their own coverage, at least I hope so.

Footy’s #1 team heads to South Australia

Bruce McAvaney and Daisy Pearce return for Gather Round on Seven and 7plus Sport

Football’s #1 commentary team is hitting the road again for Gather Round, direct from South Australia from Thursday, 10 April on Seven and 7plus Sport, as Seven’s commentary team welcomes back two fan favourites for the monumental round.

Following his return to Seven’s AFL coverage for the 2024 AFL Finals Series, Australia’s premier sports broadcaster, Bruce McAvaney, will step into the hosting chair for the final match of Gather Round, live and free on Seven and 7plus Sport.

In an exciting announcement for AFL fans, AFL Women’s premiership captain and one of the brightest minds in the game, Daisy Pearce, will return to Seven’s coverage for Friday Night Footy live from Adelaide Oval, ahead of a second appearance on Sunday afternoon in Round Six.

Ahead of her return to Seven’s national AFL coverage, Daisy Pearce said: “After joining Seven’s local WA AFL broadcast team, I’m absolutely thrilled to be back behind the Seven mic for the national broadcast over the next two weeks. And what better way to kick things off than at Gather Round at a packed Adelaide Oval?

“There’s something truly exhilarating about live broadcasting – being right there in the moment, capturing the energy of the game, and working alongside some of the brightest minds in footy. It’s a unique challenge that keeps you on your toes, and there’s nothing quite like the buzz of bringing the action to fans at home.

“Being back in the broadcast seat is always something special, and I can’t wait to share the excitement of Friday Night and Sunday afternoon footy with the team once again,” she said.

The Gather Round action will kick off with The Front Bar on Wednesday night, at 8.30pm on Seven and 7plus Sport. Broadcasting live from Adelaide Oval, resident hosts Mick Molloy, Andy Maher and Sam Pang will be joined by a group of South Australia’s most iconic football personalities including:

  • Adelaide Crows legend Mark Ricciuto
  • Port Adelaide legend Greg Phillips
  • Two-time AFLW Best and Fairest winner and 7AFL expert Erin Phillips
  • Comedian Lawrence Mooney

Straight after The Front Bar , Hamish McLachlan returns for Unfiltered, where he sits down with Port Adelaide’s all-time games record holder, Travis Boak, as he discusses his personal life, the transformation of Port Adelaide and his love for Ken Hinkley.

Australia’s #1 brekky program Sunrise will broadcast live from Adelaide across Gather Round weekend. On Thursday morning, Beretts will be live from the Macca’s Footy Festival in Elder Park, Adelaide, along with roving reporter Katie Brown from 5.30am AEDT. Then on Friday, join Nat, Shirvo, Edwina, Beretts, Katie and Sam Mac live at Elder Park for a massive brekky party filled with surprise guests, free breakfast and prize giveaways.

On Thursday Night Footy, Seven’s team including Hamish McLachlan, Rebecca Maddern, Brian Taylor, Luke Hodge, Kane Cornes, Mitch Cleary and Nick Riewoldt will bring all the action from the Adelaide Crows v Geelong Cats clash, live and free from Adelaide Oval from 7.00pm AEDT on Seven, 7mate and 7plus Sport.

On Friday night, fans are in for another huge clash when footy’s #1 commentary team featuring Abbey Holmes, James Brayshaw, Alister Nicholson, Daisy Pearce, Dale Thomas, Nick Riewoldt, Chad Wingard and Xander McGuire return to a packed-out Adelaide Oval for the Collingwood v Sydney Swans clash from 7.00pm on Seven, 7mate and 7plus Sport.

On Saturday afternoon, viewers will be treated to the very best of state league footy on Seven, 7mate and 7plus Sport, with the South Australia v Victoria match broadcast live and free from 3.00pm AEST.
The WAFL continues with Round Two when West Perth host Perth live and free on 7mate (WA only) and 7plus Sport from 7.00pm AWST Saturday night. Perth viewers can also stream every match of the 2025 WAFL season live and free on 7plus Sport.

It’s a mega day of footy action on Sunday afternoon, kick-started by Jason Richardson, Kate McCarthy and Campbell Brown for a Gather Round edition of the Sunday Footy Feast from midday AEST on Seven and 7plus Sport.

Then, Hamish McLachlan, Jason Bennett, Dale Thomas, Joel Selwood and Erin Phillips will deliver all the action live from Norwood Oval for the St Kilda v GWS GIANTS match, live from 2.30pm AEST on Seven, 7mate and 7plus.

The excitement of Gather Round culminates in a huge clash on Sunday night, when Port Adelaide host Hawthorn at Adelaide Oval, live and free on Seven, 7mate and 7plus from 7.00pm AEST.

As Bruce McAvaney makes his return to Seven’s AFL coverage, he will be joined by football’s #1 commentary team including Brian Taylor, Alister Nicholson, Kane Cornes, Luke Hodge and Abbey Holmes.

I think Seven will release the broadcast times for Port Adelaide v Hawthorn with the rest of the network’s weekly advance guides this Sunday morning.

It already says that the coverage will start at 7pm AEST:

The question is whether this match will air on main channel or 7mate in Sydney and Brisbane on the Sunday night. It will be shown on 7mate in Perth, so as not to interrupt the 6pm news.
