Of the three delayed games last Saturday, only the Swans vs Lions was very close, going down to the final minute.
I also see that Seven will do a “Saturday recap” after their VFL coverage tomorrow night; I think this might be a reformat (of sorts) of the post-match show from their past Saturday night coverage.
Surely Jason Richardson won’t host this as well, he’s already suddenly anchoring 3 footy shows for the first time!
Maybe a mid-evening pre-record with Jason Bennett following the earlier VFL? Or whoever is lesst workload including Foxtel or raido clashes on Saturday?

Something that I thought would be worth noting, tonight with a delayed game on 7Mate (Port V Tigers) when the news is on, before the report, Bruce gave out the good old line “If you don’t want to know the result, look away now”

How come they aren’t using the new graphics? Makes zero sense to me!
Not the first time local footy has used different graphics than the AFL coverage - possibly might have something to do with JAM TV doing the coverage.

The Saturday highlights show will only be broadcast on 7mate in VIC and TAS. It might be available VOD on 7+ nationally but also might not. Time will tell
This will probably be the last Bullants game televised on FTA for a long time…

Is this Seven’s counter to Fox Footys exclusive Saturday broadcast? Don’t mind the set from the caps, could look quite different on-air.
Does this air on the main channel?
I’m assuming it’s a Perth production?
7mate only in VIC and TAS, 7+ exclusive everywhere else. It has 2 Melbourne-based hosts so I’d imagine it’s a Melbourne production in a green screen studio.

This state based geoblocking for the AFL is already running into issues in border areas based on my experience.
In Albury, on mobile I’m being directed to the Victorian feeds (which is in line with what we get over the air), and on connected TVs I got a QR code to confirm location on mobile. The Victorian Seven feeds then work with no issues from there (on those devices)
On the 7plus website however (on a computer), I’m being directed to the NSW feeds (presumably from my NSW IP address), and then being geoblocked from accessing the 7mate feed that has the AFL (it just doesn’t load). All other 7 channels are working, so presumably it’s not liking the mismatch between my IP location of Sydney and actual location of Albury (which comes up when I allow location access).
As such, if you’re in Albury and trying to watch on the 7plus website you won’t get any AFL coverage at all it appears.
Not a great start, but not surprised as state based geoblocking was always going to get messy.
