There’s an electronic billboard on Creek Rd here in Brisbane promoting SEN Track, BUT the frequency is so tiny it’s absolutely impossible to read. I’ve driven past it so many times and can’t make it out. It’s there, just too tiny to read.
And I’m actively looking for it. What chance would a regular person have of working out the frequency? Waste of time and money.
Even worse, 400 watts on usually electrically short masts. Overall efficiency far less than 400watts if within spec.
I feel sorry for their salesman in Darwin, Troy Douglas. He’d want to be on a good base salary as the amount of commission made would likely seem him end up at the local charity food hamper location to get by.
Indeed, as that’s all the attention any viewer gives to them. Research proves this time and time again.
Are we expecting a replacement to be announced this year or will they wait until 2022? Is Julian de Stoop still producing? He might just make some more on-air appearances/segments while they see out the year.
SEN Sydney will be sponsoring the next NSW police anti drink driving campaign to promote .05. Just need to move SEN’s latest rating one decimal to the left. Won’t take long the way its going. 1170 Sydney … the radio frequency in search of a station.
If ratings continue to be below 1.0, then down the track they could consider putting 2CH back on 1170 (where it was at 5.0) and keep SEN Sydney as a DAB+ / streaming station.
Yep exactly. As I stated here after the previous survey:
12 months ago 1170 2CH rated almost 5% in Sydney. Since 1170 SEN … less than 1%. What a waste of a great heritage AM frequency.
