SBS World Movies

Seems like the loop has been updated to be more ‘blunt’ and direct about the Viceland changes compared to the mock SMS messages seen when the loop began

Gotta keep things simple nowadays :joy:

The SBS World Movies loop is running in MPEG-2 SD in Canberra last time I checked.

I’m hopping to stream the change to you tube tonight if anyone wants to know

According to SBS’s guide programming doesn’t start until 10am tomorrow though.

SBS World Movies promo loop STILL running in SD here in Canberra

What happened to that voiceover SBS used to have that guy who at night said a movie had “adult themes” and had a distinct sort of deep voice .

His name is Robbie Macgregor

Yep, Robbie’s been with Ten for a couple of years now. He was shown on air in the 2018 pilot week promo iirc.

So is anyone going to be watching the change over for channel 32?

LCN 32 change to SBS World Movies around 2am as the channel is now in MPEG4 HD. At the time of posting SBS has allocated with channel with the biggest chunk of the multiplex spectrum 4.55 Mbps. SBS HD is 3.31 and Viceland HD is 4.21, SBS ONE (SD) is just 1.77.

Just rescanned. SBS World Movies loop airing with correct LCN and in HD. SBS Viceland still has “HD” at the end of its LCN…

It may be inconsistent, but it’s not wrong.

But the new loop hasn’t started yet?

The loop is still on as regular, without any changes. Channel will start with an airing of recent French flick Remi, Nobody’s Boy at 10am.
