Interesting I saw that too … wonder where it will end up . I wonder if Amazon will buy it . I can’t see it working on FTA again.
If Shortland Street is to be available on a streaming platform, it won’t just be Australia, it will need to be a multi-country deal.

Normally streaming services like Netflix and Amazon purchase rights to TV Shows in more than 5 countries.
What if Stan or Binge were to secure the rights? They are only in Australia.

Years ago it disappeared from 7Two and went to Foxtel . Why did Foxtel cut it … same reason as SBS ?
it could depend on how much it cost to buy the rights . and im . im aussiming there would be market here in australia for ex nzers to watch shortland st. iam also guessing that sbs only brought the rights for season 28 till season 31

The show aired on foxtel for several years, before Foxtel abruptly dropped the show in November 2020, which was attracting only 7,000 viewers per episode overnight (and another 7,000 in consolidated viewing figures).-wiki
