SBS will show the 2024/25 Iron Series (with new naming rights sponsor Shaw and Partners replacing Kellogg’s), starting with round 1 from Wanda Beach, Cronulla in Sydney’s south, on December 14-15. The live telecast starts at 1pm AEDT on both days.
2024-25 ISU Figure Skating
The very best figure skaters in the world will return to SBS screens for the 2024-25 season, with fans able to keep across every twist and spin from the major ISU events live and free.

The 2024-25 season gets underway on SBS with the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating beginning in October and concluding with the final in December.
Texas, Nova Scotia, Angers, Tokyo, Helsinki, and Chongqing will each host a leg of the circuit, before Grenoble house what is sure to be a thrilling finale and perfect precursor to the European Championships.
The European Figure Skating Championships will take place in Tallinn, Estonia from January 29 to February 2 and will be followed by the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Seoul, South Korea - scheduled to take place between February 20 and 23.
It all serves to set up the World Figure Skating Championships in Boston, USA, where the very best athletes on ice will gather from March 26 to 30 for a chance at a global medal.

Dakar Rally 2025
The Dakar Rally returns to Saudi Arabia for the sixth consecutive edition in 2025 and SBS will again bring audiences all the best action exclusive and free from January 3-17.

Australian Toby Price will attempt to win his third Dakar Rally when he competes in 2025 - this time on four wheels. The 37-year-old will be riding in a Toyota Hilux with fellow Dakar winner Sam Sunderland as his navigator.
“I am super excited to announce that we’ll be on the start line for the 2025 Dakar Rally,” Price said in an Instagram post.
“Teaming up with Overdrive Racing in a T1+ car is a dream come true, and an opportunity that I am really grateful for and looking to make the most of”.

“Women’s Weekly Football” is a weekly highlights show that focuses on European female football competitions (aka “soccer”). Apparently, there have been two seasons of this and some episodes are available on the SBS Website. But it looks like the latest episode made its first FTA airing on Saturday that has just past - at 2pm - on SBS. There is another episode this Saturday, now at 3pm.

NITV’s flagship footy show Over the Black Dot returns Tuesday 4 March from Las Vegas
National Indigenous Television’s (NITV) flagship footy show Over the Black Dotreturns on Tuesday 4 March at 9.30pm. The longest-running Indigenous NRL television program, Over the Black Dot is hosted by legendary NRL player and proud Anaiwan man Dean Widders, and this season will broadcast with weekly 30-minute programs.
Dean will be joined by sports professionals and seasoned presenters including Dual International Timana Tahu, Bo de la Cruz, a proud descendant of the Gudjula and Erubian people and a multi-award-winning Touch, Rugby Union and Rugby League player, and proud Dunghutti man and former NRL professional, Beau Champion.
Over the Black Dot is aweekly round-up program of rugby league views and yarns, featuring guest appearances, game results, hot topics and the community that makes the game of rugby league the greatest.
Each week, off-the-cuff conversations and community chats cover the top level of rugby league and all levels of the code. From grassroots games to the NRL, this program is for fans that live and breathe rugby league as well as those that want to learn more about the game.
Kicking off after the Indigenous All-Stars matches and the NRL opening round in Las Vegas, Over the Black Dot continues to focus on the talents of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their achievements.
Episode One features Dean Widders and Bo de la Cruz under bright lights in Las Vegas, covering the four games: Canberra Raiders vs New Zealand Warriors, Penrith Panthers vs Cronulla Sutherland-Sharks, Wigan Warriors vs Warrington Wolves and Australian Jillaroos vs England Women’s Team.
