It is this concentration of so many powers, so much knowledge and artistic wealth in the same place, that evokes questions and invites examination.

I love the “decades” shows that aired on SBS in recent years. But for the 2010s show - is a tad late for each night for the new week. Being 10.20pm (onwards). Bummer.

The Homicide Movie is way too late. 1am on the Saturday night (technically Sunday morning).

The only problem is their durations are just 10 and 15 minutes respectively.

Given they are on in the first half of the hour, might as well simulcast the ones on BBCNC live.

Dinner for One revolves around the aged Miss Sophy who celebrates her 90th birthday with her best friends, all of whom are actually dead. The result is that her increasingly inebriated butler is obliged to act out each role in turn. Stars Mary Warden and Freddy Frinton.

Surprised to see SBS sending out program information on Christmas Day.

Also, Toronto Airport Uncovered premiered internationally in November and only finished last weekend.

And so did ABC. Today isn’t a Sunday either.

The info was received a while ago, it is just my pattern to post SBS and ABC info and schedules on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

How many of these specials do they do?

I watched Big Fat Quiz of Everything (2025) on SBS OnDemand last night thinking that this was the annual special.

If you go by its Wikipedia page, a lot.

The next one is a “Telly” spin-off aired on Jan 9 in the UK. I don’t think SBS would be interested in that one.

Just to clarify, the annual version is the one with the year number in it.
