SBS - Programs and Schedules

The Big Fat Quiz Of Everything is different to The Big Fat Quiz of The Year. The Everything 2025 show is from January 2025. The Year one was just broadcast in the UK and will be available on 1 Jan on SBS.

SBS also recently ran three compilation Best Bit specials that covered the last 20 years of the shows.

Hard to distinguish with some of these Big Fat Quiz shows, since they essentially have the same guests on most of them.

The Best Bits Specials that aired recently rated dreadfully for SBS. I tuned into the first ep, and it sadly didnt make the cut.

But the Big Fat Quiz of the Year that airs on SBS on New Years Day for a number of years now is generally good.

The show is funny but I find the content is very British and difficult to connect with. I have no idea what the answers are for the majority of the questions asked.

SBS Acting Managing Director Jane Palfreyman said SBS continues to be Australia’s home for cultural celebration, connection and belonging.

“Lunar New Year is one of the world’s most significant cultural celebrations, observed by communities across Australia and by more than two billion people globally,” Palfreyman said.

“Our Lunar New Year programming reflects SBS’s purpose in action. By sharing the stories, traditions and contemporary experiences behind the celebration, SBS helps Australians better understand one another and the cultures that shape our shared life.”

A bold, multi-platform celebration

SBS World Movies turns up the action with a Jet Li tribute, featuring martial arts classics including Fist of Legend, Tai Chi Master and the Once Upon a Time in China trilogy, before rolling into late-night modern Asian cinema with striking films Above the Dust, House of the Seasons and The Accidental Getaway Driver.
