Lighthouses: Building The Impossible - Season 2
Monday 5 September 7:30 PM
Rob Bell heads out to perhaps the most feared offshore lighthouse for keepers and mariners alike - the Wolf Rock.
He sees for himself why Cornwall’s beautiful coastline is so deadly, and why building a tower eight miles from shore was seemingly impossible, at the mercy of the North Atlantic.
Following Rob’s journey, we hear tales from the keepers who risked life and limb living and working in this inhospitable environment and see how technology keeps a 160-year-old structure running now.
Diving into the past, Rob turns wreck hunter to discover incredible artefacts that reveal the fate of one of the thousands of ships lost on the Cornish coast.

Told by the men and women who lived it, 9/11: The Pentagon is the dramatic story of what happened inside the building in the harrowing minutes after impact - a raw eyewitness account of tragedy, heroism, and survival on the day that forever transformed a nation.
