Saving Ten

No, no, and no. Only if this were to happen every episode.

I’m pretty sure you can’t show someone masturbating in prime time on Australian television, free or pay.

It is for people in regional Australia watching ten on win thanyou very much

I think it was a joke

you just ruined my day dammit.

indeed it was.

No one told Mark Nicholas that

I ruin a lot of things. Be specific.

He’s a English wanker - not wanking on air. Unless you have evidence.

Pictures or it didn’t happen.

Judging by some of his commentary when Australia was batting at times I wouldn’t be surprised

That could be said about a lot of people at certain times. Eddie McGuire when Collingwood does something special. Bruce McAveney when someone does something special.

Maybe that should be a show - The Biggest Wanker. Exclusive to Ten!

and i mean this clip as an against for the channel :stuck_out_tongue:

That won’t work, there is no First at Five News and The Project is only half an hour

With all of the “problems” it is claimed Studio 10 has been having, perhaps some alternatives to the morning could come in the form of some of those “morning” and “breakfast” concepts suggested.

The morning line up could start at 7am with Ten Early News, followed by 8am The Morning Project and then at 9am The Morning Express., finishing up with a mid morning news at 10:30am which would free up the 11am til slot for whatever your hearts desire, whether it be another talk show, cooking shows, entertainments shows, game shows or soaps (or a combination of these)

How good can a news set look with so little space and a bit of thought or imagination? Look at KHON Honolulu - all the stations there have small buildings and small sets, but they all look good! And just about the 9PM thing (again) - Hawaii, with 1 million people, has two 9pm news programs and three 10pm news shows, including an hour-long one.

Picking up from discussions across a number of threads, I have been considering the launch of Ten Daily today - which I quite like, and which seems to have a number of respectable contributors including an article by Tim Costello.

With this is mind, I maintain the best move it to put together a current affairs program with the headline name ‘Ten Daily’ at 6:30 each evening following a local bulletin at 6. First at Five can remain local condensed to 30 minutes and followed by Pointless. Brand unification is crucial and this is the perfect way to do it.

Move reality programming back to 7pm getting an advantage over competitors and the fact that people have a tendency to move over to SVOD as the night goes on. Thus if you draw your key programming half hour early it could be that the drop off can be minimised.

The Project as previously stated can be moved to 10pm, and rebadged to ‘Up Late’ or ‘NightCap’ with social media and Ten Daily tie in.

I would then use the opportunity to launch a shorter breakfast program similar in vein to The Project / Fox and Friends with a Ten Daily tie in also. I would even call it ‘Brekky Wrap’ as they have done on the Ten Daily website. Start at 7pm and run it through to 8:30 before Studio 10 commences. As previously noted, Morning News at 11pm for an hour. ‘Brekky Wrap’ can also air through weekends, where at 8:30 a sports based panel program can air perhaps with a title like ’State of Play’ as previously noted. Again, with a Ten Daily tie in and a segment that can run on the website throughout the week. Meet the Press can also make a return to Sunday mornings to bolster the sites ‘political clout’.

Those are my thoughts on addressing morning schedule, early evening woes alongside consistency later in the evening which is something lacking on broadcast television of late.

I wouldn’t call any show “Ten Daily” as it’s a simple conflict with the website and would cause confusion.

I agree. If you’re going to have a broadcast integration then I’d call it Ten Nightly or Ten Today or something.

I hate the idea. Ten have created a brand and identity with the project.
