Rush

I don’t think any, or many people noticed.

If there was anyone on that ‘journey’ to begin with.

Some very bad design to the format of the show where who goes home and who continues is decided by what is essentially drawing straws. They try to dress it up a bit but it comes down to chance.

Rush winner interview

I enjoyed the show enough but probably enjoyed the earlier legs more. I found the more that it went on it became more challenge based than travel based. The earlier episodes had more focused on the travelling and getting to places (I guess a bit more like Race Across the World), where some of the later legs they seemed to have to do a lot more along the way (more like TAR). Especially the finale with bungee jumps, sky dives etc it felt very much like an Amazing Race finale.

I also thought there was too much based on solving riddles that sometimes unfairly sent teams to the wrong place. Last night was an example where 2 contestants went to puzzle park because it had a maze that the clue pointed too, but they were meant to go somewhere else that had a maze. The clue wasn’t really specific enough to differentiate and it really came down to where a local pointed you. Also of course the luck eliminations I think should have been handled differently.

Overall not terrible and they went to some great locations. I did know a contestant so maybe that kept me more interested.

Not surprising.
