Bankwest Stadium, Campbelltown Stadium, Central Coast Stadium, Suncorp Stadium, Queensland Country Bank Stadium (Townsville) and AAMI Park will be used until round nine.

The Eels, Bulldogs, Rabbitohs, Sharks and Roosters will call Bankwest Stadium home for the near future, while the Dragons, Wests Tigers, Panthers and Raiders will play at Campbelltown Stadium.

The Knights, Warriors (who will be based in Gosford) and Sea Eagles will play out of Central Coast Stadium.

Three venues outside of NSW will also be used: Suncorp Stadium (Broncos and Titans), Queensland Country Bank Stadium (Cowboys) and AAMI Park (Storm).

Phil Rothfield got most of the NSW venue allocations right, only missing out on the Panthers.

Hopefully at some point, they will get to trial crowd attendances.

Given NRL games normally attract crowds of 10,000 to 15,000, they would be a good fit for a meaningful trial at a select few games to see how social distancing can work at events like these. Probably not until at least August though.

If there is a trial for crowds at NRL matches, it should start by allowing 500 people in first, then gradually increase the crowd limit, so by finals time 10,000 fans can get in.

They’re enforcing the salary cap all of a sudden?

Yes!

Any draw that is good to the Sharkies and not so good to the Chooks is a good one

Those comments could double as a review of his Sunrise appearances with Mark Latham.

I didn’t know that Kennett had done some knitting underwater.

He must be a boring kind of guy to want to do that.

Goes to show that he doesn’t understand the game.

lol

Surely you could add 6 minutes? Even 1?

For the Broncos supporter base, they’ve got the chance to create a live atmosphere with fans encouraged to drive their cars in and watch on a giant screen, which has been especially erected 15-minutes’ drive from the Brisbane CBD.

Thaiday confirmed viewers at home will get a close look at the setup with Nine’s broadcast set to cross over throughout the coverage of the match.

"Very similar to your country style rugby league match, where all the cars would be parked around the edge of the field, beeping their horn and flashing their lights every time when the home team scores a try.

I’d prefer that they deduct 4 or even 9 minutes.

They don’t need a 24 min lead in for TV.

And it’s SOOOO good to have live footy back on the box!

Congrats to the NRL for being able to get back on the park so soon.

As a neutral, good game to watch. I’m still not a fan of the fake crowd effect - while it’s mixed reasonably well, it still feels wrong given the actual sounds of the players and the ref are echoing off the empty stadium and aren’t dampened by the crowd… yet the crowd is still there!

Still early but I do like the 6 again rule. Seems to speed the games up, and we still got a few penalties and scrums along the way so I can see it sticking around.

I still think they should have held off returning to play however (I can’t hug my relatives, but they can tackle?)
