Well yeah. Know you’re also a Kings fan
I have to wonder. With these Monday afternoon games on Public Holidays. Why do they have 4pm kick off times. I know the Good Friday one is 4pm cause they want it to lead into Channel 9 news. But Easter Monday and King’s Birthday are both Fox League excusives. 3pm would be better
So that they can take the audience away from 9News. Especially right now.
Yeah, probably not such an issue for FOX.
Great game this one, Golden Point finish!
Not to mention that the NRL does not schedule any games on the Queensland Labour Day Monday (even though it’s not a Public Holiday in NSW) but yet has matches on a day where Queensland does not have a Public Holiday. Maybe have Broncos vs Dolphins on Queensland Labour Day afternoon.
And the Tigers win the golden point. It’s the first season since 2023 with 3 GP games by the end of round 5.
Both footy codes delivered on Easter Monday.
And with that Penrith 3.0 go to 2nd on the ladder.
So many twists and turns in that one.
29,397 saw Tigers v Eels, an NRL record crowd for the venue.

I very much doubt that is the reason.
Which public holidays does NSW get that Qld doesn’t when NRL games are played?
Kings Birthday, in NSW it’s the second Monday of June while there is no holiday in Queensland on that day. Queensland has their Kings Birthday holiday on the same day as NSW Labour Day which is the first Monday of October.
Maybe to do with NRL 360 that follows it
Which is the dayer after the Grand Final. Dare say that’s by design
Settle down Karen Moses.
He’s nothing compared to Tedesco in terms of the way he talks to the ref.
Peter V’landys reveals NRL is exploring expansion options for third Brisbane NRL team
This masthead can reveal the ARL Commission will meet with Queensland Rugby League bosses to devise plans for a possible third Brisbane NRL franchise to satisfy a rugby league registration boom in the Sunshine State.
A second New Zealand team was widely considered the hot front-runner for fresh expansion, with three Christchurch consortia jostling to win the NRL’s 20th licence.
But the ARL Commission may yet pivot to Queensland and give the Sunshine State a fifth NRL licence - and second in less than a decade following the admission of the Dolphins in 2023.
We are pretty covered though aren’t we?
Dolphins - North Brisbane
Broncos - Brisbane
Titans - Gold Coast
Seems to be about right.
Have a look at how many teams are in Sydney? Or Melbourne teams in the AFL….
Both are much bigger than Brisbane though.
