Its Penrith. They just think they can do what they want. They are turning into the new Roosters.
The NRL has issued Brent Naden with a breach notice over a leaked video taunting Canterbury, but opted against fining Wests Tigers players for their on-field khawd.
Three days after the Tigers’ emotion-fuelled win over the Bulldogs, the NRL issued a trio of players a formal warning on Wednesday morning.
But the league opted against sanctioning the group, with confusion still reigning over the true meaning of the gesture made at Bulldogs supporters on Sunday.
The draws for the Pacific Championships were released yesterday. Jillaroos playing in the womens tournament. Seems the plans for a Womens Ashes must have been abandoned after that blowout in Vegas
I’d say so yes. The English game is in a pretty bad way now days. Some clubs rely on gate takings.
The women’s match at Vegas should’ve been either All-Stars (in some way), or Women’s Origin, or Australia vs New Zealand.
Well done to your Dragons @yellow_sock … they played really tough footy today in slippery conditions. Their ball handling was much better than my Sharkies was.
Dear Knights Men
Why can’t you play like the Knights Women?
Love,
All Newcastle Knights fans.
Because they don’t have an overpaid “star” who spends more time off the field than on it.
@Radiohead very lucky for us. Not for you guys
Not lucky your team deserved the win.
Sad but true.
Most points scored by a team in a game this season:
=1. Roosters - 64 points (Today)
=1. Storm - 64 points (Round 10)
3. Broncos - 60 points (Round 22)
4. Dolphins - 58 points (Round 15)
=5. Dolphins - 56 points (Round 14)
=5. Storm - 56 points (Round 1)
Roosters doing the reverse of this to the Dolphins
What about the stink though? On a scale of handsies to Battle of Brookvale, I rated it handbags at 50 paces.
So the Dolphins have now been involved in three of the highest scoring NRL matches of the season.
The Dragons are having a typical season. Just enough wins to keep the faithful interested but ultimately, a case of ‘almost, nearly, but definitely not’. Luckily my second team are currently in pole position, though I hope they relinquish the ‘Faiders’ tag that has dogged them in the past.
I could say the same for my mob, done enough to make the finals, the wheels would have to fall off spectacularly to miss this year from here (and only missed the finals once in the last 10 years), but apart from 2016, never really quite looked like being the real deal.
Yes, the Sharks right now are similar to the Dragons in the noughties and early 10s; always there or thereabouts but only getting over the line once (so far). I think the current wait for the Dragons will be longer than the previous one (1979-2010).
Hopefully the Raiders can pull one out of the hat as the last time they won, Gungahlin was still sheep paddocks (1994).
Agree, if it can’t be my mob, I’ll be cheering for the Green Machine.. up the Milk! (anyone but Penrith or the Chooks really).
Not to mention the FOUR Grand Final losses in the 90s for the Dragons (1992, 1993, 1996 and 1999). The last one still stings and I’ve never watched the highlights to this day…I was driving to Melbourne on the day so luckily didn’t watch it live.
Yes, a typical season for the Dragons. Enough wins to keep us faithful going, and not sack the coach. But not good enough to make the top 8.
An ongoing joke with friends - and the “Dragons Army” on the hill (with all the banners) is light-hearted jokes saying that it will be our year next year. Been saying that for a good decade now. lol All in good jest, but also frustrating at the same time. Particularly with all the close losses we had this year (bar one against the Dolphins).
I do hope that the Raiders can go and win it this year. Am over the Storm winning. And as great as a year the Dogs have had, I don’t want them to win this year. A fairy tale win from them in coming years though.
