Have now been a proud Sharkies member for 10 years straight… Cap #10 arrived with my Sharks 2025 members pack today … In honour of that, the caps decided to get together and pose for a group photo (below).
Sadly one cap didn’t make this far as it was lost somewhere on a breakwall up at Port Macquarie after it decided to leap off my head and go AWOL on a windy afternoon. Sadly it could not be retrieved.
Endeavour Field is the original name.. it’s had about 6 or 7 name changes over the years due to sponsorships… more than any other ground I can think of.
And yes, the Sorensen brothers were great players too!
The official announcement only refers to the forthcoming season (2024), but it may just be the wording of the release and not reflect the contract length
There are different packages, mine is the ‘Country And Interstate’ one and comes with one ticket to a game of your choice and some goodies like a cap (see earlier pic!). Most of the money goes towards your team.
Hey, they want my money, suck it. I’ll be there longer than AOK, Ponga, Parr, the creepy CEO whose name escapes me, etc… I’m the sort of person clubs would love to have on board.
16-17 years as the Jets (classified on their system as a Gold member)
10 at the Swans (yes, got my 10 year member badge)
10 at the Waratahs
9 at the Thunder
8-9 at the Kings
4 at the Pride
2-3 at the Flames
The NRL this morning revealed details of this year’s Vegas fest, confirming information first reported in The Sunday Telegraph. It includes NRL and Fox League launches and a USA v Greece test match on Wednesday, February 26, a two-day Nines tournament at Silver Bowl Park on February 27-28, a Fan Fest on February 27 and even an Indo Pacific Leaders Forum on February 28.
AAP understands a separate incident has been the subject of an internal NRL investigation involving the league’s human resources department since that tournament.
The matter has reached as far as the desk of Australian Rugby League chairman Peter V’landys and will be finalised as soon as next week when a final call will be made on Donald’s future.
Sources have told AAP the issue relates to Donald allegedly using an expletive to refer to a journalist in front of players, while airing frustrations about coverage late last year.
At least one player shared details of the alleged interaction more widely, before the NRL was made aware and started its own investigation.
