Tonga win 25-24. Man what a game.
IMO, he was the NRL’s number one referee in 2004-05, the time between Bill Harrigan’s retirement and his own at the end of the latter season.
It’ll be Australia and Tonga for the Pacific Championship final.
Not only that but the prospect that New Zealand could be relegated to the Bowl level
Interesting that the men’s Bowl final next Sunday will be held next Sunday evening, after the Pacific Championship men’s Cup final. Clearly a scheduling decision to allow the men’s Cup final to be the lead-in to Nine’s primetime line-up, featuring The Block auction finale.
Yeah and the bowl final will be on GEM. It will be a late one for me cause I’m going down there for it.
Terrell May prepares to take legal action against online fan groups
Sydney Roosters star Terrell May is preparing to launch legal action against online fan groups spreading ‘damaging’ rumours in the wake of the shock revelation that he is unwanted at the Bondi club.
The Australian reports Terrell’s manager David Rawlings and his lawyers have issued three cease and desist notices to popular Facebook supporter groups in recent days.
May’s team is preparing to take further legal action against at least one of the NRL fan pages on social media.
May was sensationally tapped on the shoulder last week by the Roosters, telling the 25-year-old he is free to explore the open market about an immediate move away from Bondi just six months after he agreed to a two-year extension.

I’m at Commbank Stadium. Sports Ears aren’t in operation for this first game. Hope they will be later on
The Jillaroos had won the inaugural Women’s Pacific Championships final, beating the Kiwi Ferns 24-4.
Earlier, Fetu Samoa defeated Papua New Guinea Orchids 34-12 and will join the Jillaroos and the Kiwi Ferns in next year’s Pacific Cup plus a spot in the 2026 Rugby League World Cup.
How is the noise from the Tongan fans coming through on TV? It’s deafening in the stadium. I’ve been to rock concerts that weren’t as loud as this.
Same volume as usual. But seems like.a lot more Tongan supporters there than Australian supporters.
Hope Tonga can get back into it in the 2nd half. At 14-4 down, they are not out of it, but look like they’ll be running into a pretty stiff breeze. Hope they can do it though.
Tom Trbojevic scored a try early in the second half to help Australia opening a 20-4 lead, before Tonga fought back with two tries to reduce the margin to six points. The Kangaroos held on to win the Pacific Championships 20-14.
I thought Australia might run away with it at 20-4 up, but well done Tonga for getting back into it and making it a good hard fought contest. It was a good game to watch.
Aussie win 20-14. Tonga put up a good fight though. Though a fair chunk of the crowd have now left.
New Zealand currently up 10-6 over PNG. Kumals just got denied a try on review
New Zealand ended up with a big win over PNG 54-12, in Shaun Johnson’s last professional rugby league match. 18-year-old Panthers winger Casey McLean scored four tries on debut.
Yeah most of the crowd had left before that game kicked off
Chinese EV maker BYD has replaced Steggles as the major sponsor of the Sydney Roosters.
As i mentioned in previous posts. But will conclude. Sports Ears weren’t in operation for the Pacific Championships Finals Day. I don’t know why this was the case.
Roosters star Spencer Leniu has called for a State of Origin-style, three-Test series to be played between Samoa and Tonga as the game attempts to capitalise on the momentum generated by the Pacific Championships.
The Australians are expected to embark on an Ashes tour of Great Britain next season, leaving Tonga, Samoa and New Zealand to play in next year’s Pacific Cup. Samoan prop Leniu believes there is enough rugby league interest in the Pacific nations to warrant a three-match series between Tonga and Samoa next year.
Leniu said he was hopeful a series between the nations could occur, whether it be in the middle of the NRL season or at its conclusion.
