What an amazing match. In the second half, Broncos scored three early tries and led 24-8 in the 55th minute before Panthers made three tries of their own to win the match.
So Panthers became the first team since the Eels of 1981-83 to achieve a three-peat in the NSWRL/NRL competition.

Penrith were gone at 8-24 when Ezra Mam had his hat trick but they refused to go away…
Nathan Cleary to win the Clive Churchill Medal… he got Penrith back into that.

What a night, thought the match was over when Brisbane went four tries up, how could we ever see such a very late comeback from such margin in a GF, Penrith like the AFL’s Hawthorn a decade ago and the Lions 20 years ago, now back… to back… to back (everyone bar Panthers fans will be sick of them now for sure). And heartbreak for Queensland, not a fun weekend, like Melbourne in 2018 when both Collingwood and Storm lost the GFs.

Cleary was immense for the Panthers. He’s never had to work so hard in a final before: impressive to see what he’s capable of.
Adam Reynolds should be rewarded for his kicking by never playing a game at NRL level again.
Yes, not just the Lions and Broncos losing, but the other QLD teams lost their Grand Finals earlier today too (Souths beat Brisbane Easts in the State Cup Grand Final and Newcastle beat Gold Coast in the NRLW Grand Final).

Don’t support the Panthers or Broncos and enjoyed the game as a neutral especially the Panthers comeback from 24-8 down. Two classic Grand Finals 24 hours of each other made it a weekend to remember for Australian sport.
My Rabbitohs didn’t went empty handed winning the NSW Cup and State Championship despite the seniors missing the finals after a brilliant start and collapse post-Origin

Australia got off to a winning start in the Pacific Championship at Townsville tonight. The Jillaroos beat New Zealand 16-10, then the Kangaroos thrashed Samoa 38-12.
