His ordinary game against the Storm on Sunday was probably the main reason. Seems like you only need to play one good game at the right time ala Mitchell Moses to get picked… and yet Fittler still picks players like Tedesco and Trbojevic who haven’t played well for weeks.

Not to mention he got crumbs in terms of game time in Origin I and unfairly copped some criticism over his lack of effort too. I honestly dont understand how someone who is considered one of the best currently in the game has been unable to make it into the side (and when he does, gets bugger all time on the park)

Typical Brisbane Origin game so far (at half time with QLD up 10-0)… NSW dominating field position but not converting into points… QLD conversely have had limited opportunities but have come up with 2 tries, albeit the 2nd one had 2 forward passes in it.

This could get ugly for NSW if they don’t score the first try in the 2nd half.

Queensland have won back-to-back State of Origin series after easily claiming game two 32-6 in Brisbane tonight. After leading 10-0 at half time, the Maroons scored the first try three minutes in the second half, and never looked back. Overall they scored six tries to one.

Reece Walsh and Jarome Luai were both sent off from the field for headbutting each other, while Josh Addo-Carr was sent to the sin bin, with seconds left in the match.

UPDATE 22/6: Walsh and Luai have both been fined a portion of their match fee.

Yes, QLD too good, well played Maroons.

Josh Addo-Carr was sent to the sin-bin at the end as well for throwing a punch. That was a weird ending alright!

Didn’t see this one coming.

Two nights, 2 QLD Origin series wins :sob:

NSW did win the 2nd womens game tonight 18-14, in a controversial finish whereby NSW won with a penalty try in the last minute, which is some consolation for the Sky Blues. But since the womens is only a 2 game series, QLD win that series on points aggregate by 4 points.

Women’s SoO needs to be a 3 game series. It was weird seeing the Maroons lose the second game but win the shield.

Agree, should be a 3 game series.

I watched both games and they were good to watch.

Well done to QLD.

Holy flap!

Parramatta leading the Dolphins 42-4, and it’s only half time!

That’s the biggest half time lead I’ve seen for quite a while…

@Laoma will be very happy!

Yeah very happy. We went to sleep a bit in the second half. Warriors will be tough next week. This year feels like 2009 a bit with a slow start although we might even come top 4. 2009 the eels came 8th, hopefully we don’t peak too early.

Interestingly the Eels only scored one try in the second half, but that was enough to beat the Dolphins 48-20.

Why bother risking injury when the game is secure?

Why bother playing 80 minutes of rugby league when you’re Parramatta?

They haven’t all year.

Well done @AustralianAerial with the Storm downing Manly 24-6.

I will be in Melbourne next weekend and will watch the game against the Panthers at the ground. Slightly disappointed to hear it’s at Marvel not AAMI Park due to the Women’s Football World Cup, as I haven’t seen a game at the rectangular venue yet.

Next week should be a cracking game - enjoy it!

Not overly fond of Marvel but haven’t seen it in its rectangular configuration. Might need to give it a try

Yeah at least i won’t get wet! But rugby and soccer codes would work better at AAMI in the rectangular config. Oh well…

You know why they aren’t hosting it there right?
