Yep it was, a lot of the staff in the building moving over.
Quite a lot of it was empty or sub let out to other companies in the last 5 years. The facility wasn’t needed in 2025 compared to the advances and status of the industry in 2000.

I think that will be the first time since 2018 that Seven show the morning session live.
Unbelievable…. About bloody time
New management at HSV7 pulling some stings this year.
If they could just reformat the 7pm-11pm night session to resemble something closer to a UK-style telethon—incorporating sketches, appeal-focused episodes of popular shows, and other engaging segments—they might have a real chance of retaining an evening audience.
Indeed something closer to Red Nose Day style programming.
They’ve become so focused on utilising their own talent (not that they never didn’t but more so in the 2010s) and cross-promoting their slate of shows, the tie-in AFL match has also made things challenging in a way.
Could it ever end up on Nine? It definitely is due for a fresh overhaul. They’d already have big audience exposure with top-rating Today, Tipping Point, news, ACA and Married for lead-up promotion and no AFL that night as competition. Unless Seven forced the AFL’s hand and became a prime time match.
The Good Friday Appeal barely has a budget as it is. I can’t them ever having the budget or resources to doing bespoke episodes, etc.
A move to Nine would create many more opportunities for the Appeal.
Since 3AW is already a long-standing supporter and partner, it would make perfect sense for GTV to eventually join in covering the telethon. Partnering with the Appeal could also allow GTV to leverage its rich history of producing variety and event television to enhance the broadcast.
Given the AFL has started to schedule some games on Good Friday Night in addition to the GFA match, I think Seven will just air a match in the primetime slot.
Mmm I wouldn’t be looking at the GFA production budget to fund it but you could run special editions of Seven programmes maybe a Home and Away comedic special etc. Front Bar GFA edition. So it’s not just stuff from the appeal centre but more broader programming that is raising money in the evening. You could air this content nationally too.
Doubt Seven will broadcast free to air another match on Good Friday night after the twilight GFA match, usually that game is exclusive to Fox Footy.
It’s only exclusive to Fox Footy because Seven already do the GFA match
According to Sunday Herald Sun’s Fiona Byrne, Shane Crawford will be on the Good Friday Appeal panel for the first time.

“We look forward to seeing the Telethon celebrate the generosity of the community, who are committed to making a difference for sick children and their families.”
Last year, the Good Friday Appeal raised a record $23,368,724 for The Royal Children’s Hospital, with the money funding ground-breaking research, state-of-the-art equipment and technology, education and family-centred care programs.

I’m wondering it the Midday News bulletin will be a local edition this year?
I’m pleased to see Seven return to a 10.00am start time for this event. The new Seven Management in Melbourne seem to be able to pull a few more strings this year.
Does anyone know if the Appeal will be broadcast into other states?
As per the article just above your post, you can watch it nationally on 7Plus.
